Ascents in South Side having Beta

Went for the onsight. Fell off crux. Too gassed for roofs today. Quality climbing though

I dunno.. not that stoked on how this climbs - pretty average overall. Might leave it.

Hung the draws. Sent first shot. 5th attempt overall.

Should go next session.

Megafun! Glad to get the onsight! Wasn’t elated at first cos I felt the rope when I cut feet at the lip, so did it again just to prove to myself that I didn’t cheat it.

First attempt was basically to try and get warm after having a break, 2nd go went well. Definitely lanked one move which I could have climbed nicer. Fun route though

Tried this about a year ago and couldn't quite get the crux, the whole climb felt much easier. Could only get one try as had to leave but will definitely try it again next time

Another couple of goes. Superb face climbing until a hard bulge. Figured out the moves over the bulge couple small crimps and a hard pinch.

Really nice technical climbing on insecure holds. Haven't been able to do the crux moves in the middle of the route as they are quite reachy for me. Keen to work it though!

Antistyle for me for sure but awesome climb. Done in 2 parts but probably would send if/when I attempt again.

Post concussion weakness hit hard on this one. Probably still a hard 19 but definitely was weak. Super cool rock formation at the top, feels like you're climbing on bones.

fell on the last move. too dark for another attempt will be back for this one. good powerful climb

Gave it a razz. could do all the moves except the last couple before the anchor. bailed. good climbing regardless, steep, thin, technical

Definitely one of the best route in NZ. A bit pumpy but with good rest. A bit soft for 24.

Slipped at 2nd bolt, lost the on sight. Very funny route. No obvious hand and foot hold most of the time. Very technical balancy move all the way up to the near end.

Burly! Stoked to get this as it's definitely my anti-style

Spectacular climb, breathtaking view and more than amazing holds.

Fell off before the first bolt on my flash attempt, took an eternity to finish the root since I didn’t bring enough QuickDraws and was fighting with the drag and repositioning gear on the way up.

Thought I was going up the 21 and cruised quite comfortably to what I'm assuming was the crux, took to have a look. Move felt way to hard for a 21 then we realised it was a 25 so would have felt more comfortable having to pull on those holds then, till we saw guide said caution run out slab so decided to save my energy to actually pull on the 21 since not being super comfortable on NZ rock . Really awesome knee bar rests through the roof
