Description

Most of the routes are 25m plus on rock consistent with that of The Bakehouse Cliff, with grades ranging from 12-22. Also hosts the longest paddock lavel 2 pitch route in Wanaka.

Hospital Flat is conservation area administered by the Department of Conservation.

Ethic inherited from Hospital Flat

Some confusing ethics have resulted in bolted cracks. This is largely a sport venue.

Far left end of the crag, on the wall left of the arete. A fun climb on good rock.

Tricky start then fun climbing following the seam to the top.

Hard start, then cruise up the middle and fist jam the crack to the top.

Funky start, then fun face climbing to the roof. Grunt up and right onto the arete then devious moves to the top. It is easiest to retrieve draws by scooting across the top of TDB and rapping from there.

A great beginner two pitch climb. (13/17) At the very top, to the left of the DBA, there is a great ledge to stand on (second DBA) perfect for bringing up a second and enjoying the view.
