Ascents in Western Cape having Beta

P2 and P3 are classics. Don't bother with P4.

This route is really fun! It’s an awesome traverse from Swan Lake ending on Mono. Excellent moves from double heel hooks to double knee bar. Once you crank through the crimp rail, one more hard move to the top. I found it difficult to work the crimp rail too the end. A working bolt or piece of trad gear would be helpful when you project! 🙌

Ok, back after a finger injury and 6 weeks’ rest. Found the hidden hold, doable crux now. Don’t have much endurance and rests for this route, so at this stage of projecting that I cannot imagine the send 😆 Cool route though! Another session needed.

Very good. First pitch is defs not 16, more 17 (as in the book) or could even be 18. Just a few difficult moves but small gear on thin crack provides good problem solving. Second pitch is very soft for 19 IMO, more like 18. Big moves over steep terrain on bomber hand jams and huge jugs with great gear. Overall very nice route.

Throwing in the towel. Gunna go find some other things to climb.

Finally got the middle move. Subtle and technical. Now done all moves.

Logging this one to provide feedback. Bolting could be better, old gear and ground fall potential before 3rd bolt. Besides that, fine climbing, doesn't deserve only a single star in the book, will be very good with some maintenance.

Fun, better than it looks. Felt quite easy for the grade, maybe all these trad chimneys are finally paying off!
