Super fun!

Excellent route. First pitch was exciting, maybe a little scarier than the chimney, although the rope drag was horrible even with doubles, that's what you get for looking after your seconds. Crux took some deep thinking, but it was well protected, just difficult to get anything out in front. Linked pitches 3 and 4 together, worked fine.

Awesome and way better protected than I thought it would be. There's gear all over place!

A great pitch, which keeps you on your toes. Technically not too difficult.

Lead P1 and P3, both brilliant. Dragged a #6 up the chimney for no reason

Accidentally linked the first two pitches by climbing too far up the initial crack then traversing a bit higher. Sounds like I missed the best bit of the route, but it was still very good. Last pitch had a 8m run out, no-fall section above a ledge on about grade 15 crimps.

Excellent, easy slab climbing with good, but spacey gear.

Got a bit lost on pitch 2, I went up wall of the afternoon sun (17) instead. Scary. Night came at pitch 3 and Egil led 4 too in the interest of time. Great climb!

Led P2 only finishing up last clean orange streak under overhangs for an extra challenge - maybe at about 16. Would like to repeat and lead P1. Some extra cams are handy for P2.

Led P1, 3 & 6 I think. Abseiled down in the dark!

First 2 pitches are nice. Phil dragged me almost from the traverse while me seconding. Nice part after traverse. The 3rd pitch, the actual chimney, is just overwhelmingly mind-blowing. The guide "Arapiles - Selected Climbs" states for the 3rd pitch: "Up the chimney towards the ominous narrowing, blockage thingy. Negotiate this and belay just above." Hell yeah did I have to negotiate that thingy. Took me 3 attempts until I finally realised the correct route. Hint: Rubber chicken -> wrong way!

Really nice. I found the crux move on pitch 3 challenging. Pitch 5 was absolutely enjoyable with laybacks and underclings.

After I seconded the 1st pitch, I was in such a bad mood that Phil also lead the 2nd pitch. We both found that the 1st pitch (12) is way harder than the 2nd one (15). I recovered and led pitches 3 and 4. Very enjoyable, although the rope drag on 4 is massive.

Haha. ShiChang saw a bolt off right at 25m, but the guide says 35m before going right, so we wound up belaying somewhere on pitch 2 of Wall of the Afternoon Sun. My bad. Then I went straight up into some wildly off route variant of Take 5, poorly protected and very balancy, grade 19? Scary as fuck. Downclimbed and escaped leftwards towards Sundance then moved back out right to do the nice committed 17 move to rotten row at the end though. Back on track for the final pitch of Sundance. Aargh, seems I have one of these every visit. Very much a case of type 2 fun.

Wicked climb with a few different styles. Every pitch was awesome. Careful with gear on 3rd pitch and rope drag on 4th.

amazing fun - my favourite climb this trip by far. loved the first pitch, although i made things unnecessarily terrifying by wandering onto the watchtower jugs at the end then having to traverse back to the slab. the v0 problem at the start of p4 was also interesting. ran p2 and p3 together.

Ran pitch 3 and 4 together on double 60s, had to trail my little pack thru the squeeze. Brilliant chimney, run out but felt secure, lots of 3D moves.
