Slab > roof > big throw > headwall > two crimp mantle

I can see why it’s classic, but it was without a doubt one of the least enjoyable climbs I’ve ever tried. Conditions on the slab were pretty disgusting, the rest of the route just wasn’t fun.

A fantastic journey through the steepness, with a cryptic slab to start. Fell on the headwall throwing for the jug, haha!

One of the coolest 25s around! Pretty pumpy but there’s a couple of good rests that keep it at the grade. 1st red point attempt.

The rock quality is insane!

2 shots. Second shot I fell off on the last challenging move on the face above the roof, which had been drenched by a torrential downpour while I was linking the rest of it (I even hung out upside down below the lip for about 10min hoping it would dry out... not enough it would seem ).

Despite the disgusting conditions, I still had a lot of fun on this route, and consider it the best steep route in Nowra.

One of Australia's awesomest 25s!! Fought hard for it in twilight gloom, third shot after punting off the slab on the second attempt.

Almost snagged the alzheimers onsight! Oh so close as I got to the double pockets over the lip and couldn't pull up to the good holds! Next shot, I realised there was a kneebar rest just before the lip.

3 shots. A climb of more than just 2 personalities, with 4 distinctly hard moves of differing natures. My final shot ended at the last hold of the final sequence on the slab, fingers tickling the key pocket but too fat to slip in easily (I KNEW I should've just taken it with 1 finger initially!). Heartbreaking. Mostly great rock and truly outrageous climbing. With a few long runners rope drag is negligible, and the experience is worth the effort. Tough start, radical technical slab, boulder problem to another boulder-problem, to a bat-hang rest, and a final desperate finale to turn the roof and gain the slab above. Despite a few tantrums from me, this remains one of the best routes I've ever been on at Nowra.

The hardest move for me was first shoulder press, then the tricky and delicate slab moves. Felt more at home in the steepness, last moves on the headwall are the icing on the cake. New Nowra classic..

Well I got through the lower slab OK, which I thought was going to be super hard. But then only got a draw or two into the rooflets before pumping out. After that I needed to dog on every bolt to make it to the headwall, and by then was too knackered to crimp the last couple of metres to the anchors. Bailed out in defeat haha.

Wow! Bloody slab to start and then the reward -- uber steepness including double kneebar bat hang in honeycomb sandstone.

2 rests, what a great climb. It just keeps going and has a bit of everything. Will be back for sure, Only 1 shot today.
