Vie in Perlis

Climb up the boulder on the left side, clip the sling on the wall then climb onto the wall. Tough move from clip 2-3, then traverse to the right with a scary long runout (they will be putting in a new bolt soon to halve this runout), traverse to the right with a crack climb to the anchors.

Just to the left of the Brother 1. Start at the right side of the left-most entrance of the cave. Overhung climbing up the cave entrance then above it.

There are 3 easy routes called the 3 brothers, they are all located besides each other. At the northeast corner of the playground and just left of the Gua Cendarwasih sign is Brother 3, left of that is Brother 2 and the most left is Brother 1.

Easiest among the 3 brothers.

Beginning part is quite exposed for beginner climber, climb cautiously.

Crawling through the crux before the 2nd clip makes you feel like a cat.

Sit start. Crimpy holds with weird angle foothold.

Stand start. Wider ape index makes the start a lot easier.

Stand start. Having to fight a baby cobra in the homestay the night before makes Ning super paranoid the next day as he check on every handhold to make sure nothing dangerous crawling inside before trying out the route. Hence the name Cobra Trauma.

Sit start. Jugs on inner right side of route eliminated, arete and side pull allow.

Sit start. Amirul jokingly say that the problem is for children and not worth a try, turns out he couldn't execute the super compress sit start move himself.

Located on most left inside the cave, look for a short route with lots of feature. The guy who first ascend this route literally climb it right after school. Hence the name Back From School.

Open project. The grade given is only an estimation, but the name says it all.

All the route listed after this one are located outside the cave. This is the wall you will see right after you cross the small bridge.

One of the best route in Perlis bolted by David Lama from the Mammut team. 80m rope to reach the ground from the anchor? For 70m, throw excess rope to the climber back to the belay station.

Do use both bolts with carabiner at the "anchor" when cleaning

Start just above access ladder in cave. Traverse left on jugs and continue along crack. Anchor inside cave. (80metre rope to lower to ground ?)

Climbed by David Lama and Cedric Lachat, most probably hardest route in SEA.

1st pitch: 8 bolts ; 2nd pitch, 3 bolts excluding anchors. Can be climbed as a single pitch, tie a knot at the end of the rope.

Climb Canale Grande till 5th bolt and head left.

Located nearby Mata Timur, start on a pillar then traverse all the way right to the ending.

Same start with Jepun 2, climb straight up instead of traversing right. The hardest line in the Jepun trilogy.

Questionable bolt ethic for this route, the whole pillar that is bolted on is hollow on the inside. Safety concern is raised whether the pillar can withstand the impact of any lead fall. Avoid climbing this route at all cost.

Climb has only been done when wet. May be easier when in good conditions

Advise not to climb on the pillars due to safety issue. The whole pillar that is bolted on is hollow on the inside. Whether it can hold any impact is very questionable.

Terma Kasih is a wonderful exposed line of perfect tufas and pockets highlighted by two marathon pitches and a few punchy moves along the way!

5.10c/d, 115ft Try not to get pumped! Start up by climbing on the left side of a large tufa flow corner. When the tufa runs out, continue up vertical pockets to a slab and nice stance belay with two great anchor set ups.

5.10b/c, 50ft From the belay, climb up and left to the radical outer exposed arete with a strong tufa melting down it's edge. What fun and exciting positioning! Belay at a nice ledge. NOTE: This ledge had a large suspect block on it that may need trundled, but we didn't have a crowbar with us to do it. The locals know about it so it may or may not be there. Just a heads up

P3

5.11c/d, 80ft The crux of the route comes quickly off the belay, but are short lived and rewarded with a great rest. Continue up the huge white tufa to final section of steep climbing to the anchor.

Lower one another back to the P2 ledge. Then, one short rap and a second long rap put you back on the ground.

First bolt is between small tufas, if you walk to the large tufa, you’ve gone too far. The climb starts with overhang, slab, then overhang again at the last section.

4 bolts + 1 sling As Danial tried to find a spot to pee, he decided to do it right below the anchor (without realizing it). Hence the name Pandang Atas Dulu (Look Up First).

6 bolts + 1 sling Walk into the giant cave that is open on 2 sides. Stand in the middle of the cave and face the north wall to find the route.
