Late-afternoon start - a necessary ingredient for a mini-epic! Pleasantly surprised by the flowy slab climbing of the first pitch, with a sprinkle of burly moves in between. In fading light, we started the second pitch, and come time to second, I was in complete darkness - an airy step across that was much more thrilling! I reached John and we realised we weren't at the top of the climb having mistaken the ledge for a terrace in the cover of night, so we swung once more and I climbed the last few metres, finishing with an interesting mantle. We noticed at the top the descent hole and peered through - very ominous and a bit sketch in the dark! Scrambled through and rapped down at the next ledge, with the rope getting caught around a small horn when pulling it. John scrambled back up to free it, and we were home free! Just a bit overshot by a few hours :')

Linked the crux a number of times making me feel ready for a lead burn. But then fumbled it on my last attempt(just forgot the sequence). In saying that the second half of the runout I've got every time I've tried it so that should be sweet as long as I'm fresh.

Note - the rope to abseil to the anchors is super dodgy, probably needs replacing. Also the anchors are on the left of the fixed rope, NOT directly below it. Interesting climbing, found it a bit tricky to find beta for the first half but was chill once we figured it out. The crux is nails hard but I’m sure with a bit of projecting it’ll go. The climbing is cool but there’s a lot of faff having to rappel to place the nut and cleaning overhanging routes always sucks. Might project it after I get have a good flight.

Amazing stuff. Second pitch was a tad spicy with lovely exposure. The third pitch was the best time ever, so improbable. Lots of people say take hexes but a 5 did the job no worries.

First time here was kind of a fail. Didn't have a clip stick and the first bolt is super high. We by mistake clipped the first bolt of "All my exes live in Texas" thinking it was the first bolt. Hit my feet on the boulder from a fall. Managed to get the first clip by shoving a stick in my harness and clipping from the jugs. Bailed then because it got dark. Great time overall.

Should have got on this sooner. I got Alex to lead the second pitch so I can't really say, but I didn't think the second pitch was as intimidating as I had heard. Pretty soft for 18 as well. Just about pumped out on the last pitch so reckon that's pretty accurate 19.

Beautiful line with good gear, facing a potential deck if you bugger up the last moves of the run out. Belayer should be ready to jump off ledge to take in slack. Its a bit of a mission to pre rig a fixed line to rope solo on, big S bend and overhung. Maybe one more session then I'll hopefully be ready for a lead.

Nice. Went pretty easily after rehearsing the moves yesterday. I can see how you’d think it’s a 24 if you’re an endurance focussed trad dad, but for gumbies raised in bouldering gyms like me this absolutely doesn’t feel like a 24 - I haven’t even got a 23 yet and have only done one soft 22 yet somehow I can do a 24 relatively easily. Doesn’t add up.

Punted off the first hand crack unexpectedly... glad we stick cliped the nut. I Hang dogged the first time, then Erika had a top rope then a red point burn. She lowered just on the crux so i top roped to there and continued on leading to the top. Classic old thrutch fest that's easier once you've peaced it together.

Felt a little dicey at the third as I didn’t latch a hold all to well however it was pretty decent in the end. I heard this was very soft but I’m not so sure I’d straight up agree. Maybe on the lower end of 24, maybe, maybe 23. Regardless I had a fun time on it! Did a cool Gaston with mini finger lock at the top. Rad!

Gave this a red hot burn however the style change after the third bolt felt awkward and had me pumped. Reset myself after a hang and finished the last few moves. Hidden LH slot helped a lot.

First pitch had a sick cross over to get through the roof. The traverse on the second pitch is the money though. Although you do get to cut loose on jugs at the final lip if you want. It's all soon good!!!

Blues clues what we did for our first 3(?) pitches. Saved by Justin and Tegan below telling me to traverse toward the chalk. Who'd have guessed a 3 star mega classic at araplies would be covered in chalk.

	14 ~15	★★★ Lamplighter - with Kristie H 1 10 30m Second lead by Kristie H Alot of rope drag for the leader but fairly cruisy pitch except for an awkward move 2 14 30m Trad Some super exposed traversing with a difficult chimney. Lots of fantastic placements but the exposure was quite the mental challenge. By far the most cooked climb I've done. 3 13 18m Second lead by Kristie H Awkward chimney at the start and really funky roof traverse to finish off. Either leading or seconding is quite scary	Trad 78m		Robin Kumar
