A lovely little pitch. The leader had a rather spicy but easy topout with no big gear. Probably best to bring it.

Killer route, still took two shots and harder than expected. Totally classic. Next time i'll bring a larger rack, not clip any of the bolts (why are they there) and wear crack gloves (the most critical jams have some painful crystals)

Superhappy fun climbing, until left thumb cramped up in the wideness. Finished on genesis anchor. Mega classic but short, can see why the small handed folks would find this a challenge. Thumb tape was a good choice.

The gear looked good so I jumped on with the mindset that I would choose a fall over a take. Got confused; got pumped; got scared. Almost fell off more than once but managed to pull through somehow. I gave it everything I had and luckily it was enough. Will need to practice my trad fall another day.😅

Seeing as the rope was there i gave it a play. The gear placements will be serious, and much of it you wouldnt want to fall, but the only really hard move is at a bolt. Actually the crux felt a bit easier than the other side of the arete. Will be back to lead it when im not cooking.

Some nice moves, but the actual crux is very short. The hardest move, however, might be harder than flight line. Not helped by a slippery arete in the sun at 35deg.

Single pitch thrash to the top of piddo. Matt had to wrestle out a couple cams that had made a get away into the crack. I was shown the superior method of tradding afterwards on gemini with an impressive 'royal flush' in hex bingo. Even ordered correctly.

Got stuck in the transition from the diagonal crack to the wider section. A bit of dynamic move where you need to secure yourself in the offwidth(for me), eventually an arm bar worked but could not figure it out straight away. Need to try again

went for the slammer attempt (no gloves and a single pitch) and came up short. haven't stopped thinking about it! with an idea about what to do now, I WANNA GO BACK. The carrots on this thing have got to go - couldn't stop thinking about impaling myself on one. And i say this, not in some wide gear elitist kinda way, bc the biggest cam I placed was a 3.

Done as one long pitch which the leader said he wouldn't do again. Rope was present for scramble down to rapel station. Great route, got it clean apart the crux of laybacking on nothing to get feet into the rail and pulling into the wide section. That move took a few goes. Crack below was very enjoyable. But I didn't love the vegetation on pitch 1. Amazing rock

Have long wanted to do this climb, finally broke the seal of intimidation by getting someone else to lead it. It actually looks a lot more amenable from the top of P1 than from some of the pictures or from the ground, so almost considered swapping, but somewhat glad I didn't. Had to layback some of it on soapy rock where big hands can jam, then tried to offwidth instead of laybacking the crux, which didn't work. But will definitely come back and lead it just to enjoy the amazing line again.

2nd shot. A very hard crux, but also quite a few other hard moves. Surprisingly sustained, and very committing, with 2 proper exhilarating runouts. Wild moves and cool holds the whole way. Super steep! I almost took the biggest fall possible after botching the upper crux at the height of the runout, and deciding the press on with smeared feet and fading fingers. My heart definitely skipped a few beats there.
