gear: single rack to 3, could double .75 to 2. Save the 3 for the top. A longer sling or two for the first part.

So close! Shoulder gave out on last hard move before kneebar to clip anchors. Got it on the overlapping link 1 hang. 2 errors on lower section probably cost me - went wrong way above 2nd clip and again entering + exiting final rest.

Climbed okay through to crux then stick clipped the anchor to find kneebar position on TR. Finally got it then spent about 45 minutes optimising and rehearsing moves through crux section.

Climbed well got through lower section and first half of upper crux but didn’t really have beta sorted and fell. Got the final clip beta then spent eternity trying to find final kneebar to clip anchor which perplexed me again falling dozens of times. Super frustrated as I fluked it on day 1 and found it again on previous day. Ultimately too scared to try weird leg positions on lead and retreated.

15 route definitely seems to trend right over the bulge, sticking left brings some more involved stemming to the mix.

But pointy on the lower, good idea to rap off the top to clear the bulge before the anchors. Wandery fun on big blocky features

bit brutal, fell close to the top and felt pumped out of my mind. Doable with more endurance

Didn't think I'd be back on this route so soon, but Christian was super keen. Didn't take much convincing to do this classic route again. Good fun as always.

19 in the book, 17 on The Crag, definitely did not feel like a 17.

Just bolt to bolt but holy shit this climb is unreal. From the ground it doesn't look too bad but once you get up to the morgue ledge and start climbing you really feel like you are at the apex of the whole mountain.

I redact my previous R rating statement. Found a bomber #3 cam so runout eliminated and all placements sorted.

Linked ground to final mantle so probably time for tie ins!

Nice climb, full shade in the afternoon this time of year, and was able to manage with a single 60m rope which was a bonus. A bit more difficult than expected climbing with a back pack on. Due to our late start we had to miss the last pitch 5.

Linked 1 & 2, 3 & 4. Great to lead the whole climb and get Dan C up high on a mountain again! Followed by Davide L and Phill wright. Plus dean gainsford and James up Rubicon for a Halfway House Party! 🎉🥳

Nice sustained climbing for the grade, with runouts/average gear to keep the easier sections fun. I'd say a fall on p4 is more likely than p1, with a tricky section also off the belay on P3.

Bit of a circus, with a party of 3 above our party of 4 and a late arvo start. Finished right on dusk with eerie 60m raps into the abyss.

Best grade 17 glass house multi IMO and worth 3*. 1. Remains, 2. Troposphere, 3. The Martian, 4. Zeitgeist, 5. Traxion.

Climbed poorly but got to the final high left rest which I milked for ages before falling in the crux section. Spent quite a while hanging and experimenting before finally finding the knee bar beta and drilling the moves above the final bolt a few times. They are hard will be tough from the bottom. Good progress.

Found better beta above 2nd clip. Best link so far clipping the final bolt and through to the undercling block feature beneath anchors, then tried so hard and was so scared I almost vomited on the lower. Was totally perplexed by the final move to clip anchor.

Lovely long climb with beautiful views above the tree line. Good belay at the top to try the harder stuff above one day.
