Fell in the crux on the OS attempt, then fell above it on the second attempt on the awkward gaston move when I missed the crimp. Whoopsies! Really nice intro climbing, with a series of interesting mantles. Quite a minging little crux and a fun pumpy finish. Will return!

Fell below the top when I had to get a silly high foot. Tough finale, but figured out that if I hit the undercling, bumped right hand to the edge, then walked the feet up it was okay. Can also readjust the undercling with one of the holds near the anchor. Might come back to this at some stage

Cynics united first pitch. Bit chossy, but climbs well enough.

An exciting pitch with minimal (but good) gear. The guidebook says traverse right 5m to base of vegetated crack. If you climb straight up from the peg it is no more than 1-2 meters to the right.

Linked last two pitches with many extenders and back cleaning some gear. Drag wasn't a problem. This was the highlight, awesome rock, unique features and fun moves! It was incredibly windy which added some excitement, forecast said 10km/h. Not true.

Nice multi at the grade, but you wanna be confident in your ability to find/place gear and climb well above it at times. The rock improves the higher you get, with some awesome compact sandstone in the last pitch.

Took at the first bolt trying to go direct. Stemming worked much better the second time around. Onsighted the rest of the route. Pulled a number of sequences out of my ass on the upper wall. Thought this was quite a stiff little unit, probably still would feel stiff even if you knew the moves. Very worthwhile! The name seemed appropriate, as I "kicked" up a high right foot at least 3 or 4 times

Good flash go with beta from Dave. Managed to fluff it around the same spot (the mono) two more times though before sending. Nice climbing in the lower half (though a bit grainy) which is quite on, then the top wasn't too bad but quite dirty, even with a brush (and always will be).

Bit of fart-arsing around trying the moves again. The tight slot is very hard to get well. With a high left heel and deep back flag I can actually get it alright, just felt a bit tough to move feet afterwards. Got the jug and kept my foot on when fingers were set well in the slot. Ran out of inspiration to keep trying it today.

Last route of what turned out to be a massive day. The "Quad Crown", the four easiest pierces multis all the way to the top (i.e. including top pitch of mirrorball), self-supported in a very underwhelming time of 14.5 hrs car-to-car. Had to battle to get her done towards the end there as cramps and foot pain settled in, thanks for the quality banter and being an excellent climbing partner all day Matt King
