Begehungen in Leftside

An epic journey since Luke Magill and I were eyeballing these potential lines many years back. This year I got right into training for this beast, I even tried to learn to do bat hangs. In the end it just required getting a bit fitter and a tad stronger. The send finally arrived after quite a few punts from the lip, each time getting that little bit further.. trying to visualise without adding to the pressure, trying to enjoy each burn because climbing is meant to be fun. In the end it was fun, the whole process including training and figuring out the beta. Dangling from the big pockets on the headwall on the final burn is a unique memory, along with lots of great days at the crag with good people. THANKYOU ROCK CLIMBING!!

Yes! I was hoping to find an easier line to the top of the wall and here it is. Still 2 projects to go headin further left, but this line stands alone as a steep prow of quality rock, ground dropping away 'neath your feet the whole way. Unique and fun. I'm very glad this section of climbing is now open for everyone to enjoy- get on it!!

What a route! Epic traverse with an awesome sequence through the middle. Lots of hard moves and a couple of a jug rests. Maybe more than a grade harder than Gorgonzola....?

Classic George Broadfoot . Took a bit of cleaning first shot. But certainly worth the effort.

First real shot after dogging in the draws and working out the moves. A bit goey through the middle but not too bad!

Cleaned the top headwall. Crimps crimps crimps.

Sick climb! Did it for a warm up putting draws on 3rd day trying it. Favourite nowra 26 havnt been on stone roses or still life with chalk bag yet..

An absolute stellar climb, done again in the dark, i must be at ease not being able to see the ground.

Second shot after punting the onsight getting to the last draw. Not too bad for 26 - it's steeper than you think the whole way.

Well here is a little piece of the Blueys at Nowra. Great find by Georgie B! Definitely not an end of trip climb, outta arms, outta skin and outta luck. Technical crimping thats not too hard for a 6.

Tried it a few weeks ago and figured would try again next year as assumed Nowra season was over. But cold winds made for perfect conditions. Stoked!

Super good. Pretty sharp though. Amazing climbing. Should go next session

Super happy to tick this one I was a little scared but ended up making it with a few draws extended. Looked back over my shoulder on the middle rest and didn't realised that 6 people were watching me, freaked me out a little 😂😂. So... Beta for reachy top crimpy crux was as usual, it involves a high left heel next to my face then use some small low left crimp to get to better right gaston. That last move with slimely left scoop moving to the tippy top jug was so cool. It felt exhilarating to grap it and clip the anchor.

G wanted to try but it was filthy and had no chalk, we'd also forgotten the big brush. I was trying to clean it on the way up but when I got to the gaston flake by the 3rd clip I heard a crack. (It appeared to already be glued but I didn't want to rip it off) it would have taken all day to clean on lead so we bailed.

On to the very top! I have cleaned and marked the (my) holds/sequence. Get on it before it turns into a waterfall again!

Fist climb of the day, slightly slippery, getting pumped out of my mind and tearing up my skin so bailed and to save myself for the rest of the days climbing

Super fun sustained pumpy crimping on positive but thin holds. Some draws were a bit spicy to place but the climbing is awesome. Couldn't quite get the send due to stuffing up beta and leaving feet behind, then not having enough endurance.
