Beschreibung

Zádiel Gorge (popularly called the Valley - Zádielska dolina) is a monumental rocky canyon with a depth of nearly 400 m, a length of 3 km with the narrowest width of the bottom 10 m. George is located in the Slovak Karst in the village Zádiel in the Kosice region. It is created by water flowing Blatno Creek. Since 1954 the area (acreage of 214.73 hectares) is National natural monument. "Cukrova homola" is the highest towerlike rock unit in Slovakia.

Beschreibung

The Hájska dolina Valley is a 6 km long gorge situated between villages Háj and Hačava - near Zádielska dolina. It consists on small limestone walls and towers

Einschränkungen

The easiest access is by car from Košice via road E58 in the direction Zvolen. Turn right in Turňa nad Bodvou (approx. 34 km) before the castle hill, in the direction of Háj.

Zustieg

After passing through Háj, continue along the valley approx. 1,2 km to the bridge across the creek. Park the car. Cross the creek and walk up the valley to the right along the path. Sectors are spreaded in the forest, approx. 10 - 15 minutes from the parking
