Going to the dogs, x3 arvo laps. Beams of light and rain moving together across the valley remind me of a Miyazaki film.

Three dog laps playing around with gear and moves, I'll be half decent at lackbacking by the end of this jaja.

Top rope just from the thing pillar to work on the bottom fingery section, one clean, couple of hang dogs working things out. Kids throwing rocks of the top to spice up the tr session.

Amazing climb and horrible form from someone at the Odin anchor kicking rocks down. Past the top crux i hear a mild call of rock and look to see a grapefruit sized rock come off the top, i turn and yell "ROOOOCK!!" watching it hurdle towards Mary down below, she ducks and turns her head as it explodes on the top of Warlock ledge in front of her.

He apologised to Mary (unharmed), said he had been trying to untangle his rope from a stick and had flicked the rock off doing so. But if the first rock was an accident and the second was inattention then this third one was just carelessness. So pay attention to the details when you're on the top as much as you do when climbing.

19's are where it's at in my frog education; a higher level of stress to condition myself to and this climb has some great committing moments of that. Digging for edges in the garden on top was a nice way to finish.

Lovely lil bit of climbing, great flow and varied moves. The grade felt a bit soft but I did use the arete on the right which might have been why.

The goal for my second year at frog was an attempt on this beauty and I was satisfied to get it after pulling through the crux only to find myself with something of a gear crux. Lessons were learnt!

The cliffs hardest offwidth? Very specific ow techniques needed and I didn't have them, especially for the section before the dogleg, too wide for leg locks too awkward body position for traditional heal toe – amazing learning to be had!

If ow was an education then i had a year 10 leaving certificate and Vemon demanded a bachelor's degree.

Prancing up off-width on edges? Yes absolutely and easily. I haven't been climbing long enough to be calling routes soft but compared with similar routes at frog, Sacrilege crack comes to mind and with a more committing ow finish, grade 20 is a bit steep.

A summer special, a sweaty struggle, a splendid send.

What a memorable fight in the wet! As I started up it was already sprinkling, becoming heavier through crux as I threw a jam in desperation about to slip off and into a summer shower at the top as the inside of my glasses fogged up in the heat and i placed the last pieces blindly into the crack and climbed the final moves soaked and spent.

The pin scars were full of dirt so we stepped in from Devil's at half-way so not the true line. Pulled on some gear proper to get through top crux but some amazing moves up there. Cleaning up the scars on rap for future ascentionists and boom! Ants! No one needs an ant crux.

Another great summer line that's shaded in the arvo and what a battle, couple of sits in the layback down low, a fine dance of delicate footwork and fighting jams and that crux – i prussiced up. Not ready for the sharp end by a country mile.

Wow, i climbed this thinking it was a 17 as it read in the guide book, committing bridging start, small cams would have been nice for it.

Linked 1&2 and 3&4 as seems to be the standard, full bodied, full of flavour moreish climbing - so very satisfying and even more so to climb it with my dear brother.

It was one of those days, not like other ones- days that hurry all too fast along, this day holds firm, steeped in the memories and emotion on Angels. Like a deep spring, it is an adventure to nourish a climber's soul, to draw from for many seasons and sessions to come. One of the most satisfying days I've had in years.

🌭 - brutally humid and untenable!

Sinto falta de Frog rsrs. Pleasant change of scenery and climbing.

I'm always a little apprehensive looking up at this climb – the sharp fang of rock menacingly looking down, piecing the unconscious mind. Then committing to climb that same daggered tooth was thrilling! The tight chimney and exciting step around at the top make for a vaired and memorable climb all round.

Apologise for the sunset grunting frogsters, mix of grit and spit and forearm cramps. Added to the cookie jar with this climb - all heart and hard fought.

A deep sendy satisfaction on this today. A lesson in staying in the fight even when pumped – persevere! May we all reach the heavenly hand jams if we do not tarry long in the firey finger locks!

We came, we saw, we jammed and we left jaja. Highlight of the morning was actually randomly bumping into fellow Qlder and all-round champ Matt R in the carpark - a real climber's climber that lad.

Bit of a play around working out some moves up high, still have some refining to do but most excitingly i discovered some beta for the effort section/crux that turns it from a junkyard guard dog to meek lapdog. Buy me a kombucha from ritches iga and I'll tell you all about it (results may vary based on size of body parts.)

Gerard's first 22 onsight going Erg direct, yew yew! I went for the direct start too but found myself with the long limbs laybacking with my back against the pillar jaja, what's a tall boi supposed to do?
