Ascents in Southern Tablelands

Took me a few tries to really get the courage to go for the move

Probably went too far left down low, but then ended at the right anchors...

Hugely surprising, managed to send this today without the draws on, such a great climb!

First flashed & led 20!

Actually lovely climbing on good rock. Was a max reach lock off for me to put a draw on the anchor though. Not a fan :((

End of day. Couldn't figure out what I was doing at the crossover. Almost like I had to do the crux of Biafra? Feels quite hard.

Tricky start but the holds are there to be found.

Decent slabbing. If you try and keep it 'direct' you can make it harder still.

Actually a struggle. Took a while just to find a way up. Ended up finding and brushing some tiny crimps out right to gain jug. Pretty technical and sharp. May even be a sandbag depending what holds you can find.

Sustained. Get a kneebar in at third bolt and shake out for the head wall.

Stiff start.

Lovely exposure at the grade!

2 working dogs. interesting and technical route, felt like I kept unlocking new holds and sequences the longer i hung. All moves done, very keen to have a red point crack fresh!

Fae climbed this one first, so only a top rope flash for me.

20 seems like a super high grade for how this climb felt. Moved through most of it quite easily. From memory the crux was near the top.

Hard to say if I would feel comfortable leading, particularly for a couple of the end moves.. but maybe..

jw led this on trad, then hung a top rope for Fae and I from the old U anchor.

Most of the climb was fairly straightforward, but when it got to the little roof type section at the end (which definitely felt like the crux), I was really struggling, and ended up having to hang on the rop and make single moves between rests to get up it.

Not sure if I was just tired/pumped by then or not; definitely didn't feel like something I would be comfortable leading though.

I've climbed this before on lead, but since there is no red point for top rope, marking this as a top rope clean.

First session. Feels like I have most of the moves, if not the sequence. Undercling before the crux, and leading into the roof with a high right foot and big right hand feel good, but will see how we go on fresh arms (ideally before the beta fades).
