Ascents in Dairy Farm as Tick

Fun route, slightly overhanging at the first 2 bolts..

Excellent route with hard, crimpy moves until the top. Completely finished me, but had to get the top-rope anchor down!

Easier going now it's dry. Still muddy and a but chossy on top, but worth it for the fun moves. Not the 'warm up' I expected, typical Dairy Farm 6 . Took a couple of falls getting over the bulge to the first anchor and an unexpected fall on the second pitch when a handhold came off (it's not an essential one and there are other options). Good route to practice your mantling and pushing on - use your feet and arms and press up rather than pulling too much on holds. To whoever replaced the gear on the top thank-you, makes for good anchor now.

Warm down route which was knackering. Wet start, got my breath back in the middle, hard moves at the end. Looking forward to coming back when it dries a little more and doing it clean.

Question - is the big crack on the left (i.e. first blood) on? I used left hand in the crack for a couple of moves, right hand on small crimps on the face.

I think this is harder than the variation on the left, at least how I do it, but it's a cool sequence at the crux.

One nice crux move which feels awesome when you stick it, with a couple of other interesting moves thrown in - always worth a go when you're at this section.

Nice warm up climb, lovely route.

Quick dash up to clean the rope off before the rain arrived.

Stick clipped and jugged past the dirtiest section, then setup an abseil at the anchor and cleaned the moss and dirt off the top half of the route until my brush had nothing left. Still could do with more cleaning but far more climbable now.

Worked out the crux on toprope, much more manageable now that it's be thoroughly cleaned. But bring a brush each time, it's still filthy.

I really like this route. Still trying to find a way to make the beginning feel really smooth, I'm sure there's a cleaner start than I'm doing.
