Fun route, as for the big pro on the second pitch, I had a single 4 and thought it was fine. If you're a bit timid at the grade you might want to bring a second 4 or a 5. There are ample placements for bigger gear if you want to bring it, but it isn't explicitly necessary.

Not bad, despite the fact that most of it was damp.

Surprisingly, there’s quite a few unnecessary bolts, with good pro directly next to it. First bolt on P1, and at least 3 of the bolts on P2. Was good news for me, considering I left my bolt plates in the car

Super fun adventure, ridiculous 360° views. Fixed a bunch of ropes and TSR'd basically everything. That turned out to be wise! You could easily knock a block onto your rope or belayer.

Bring 3 ropes, and fix pitches 2 and 6 to TRS for safety reasons. For example, we tied the top rope into a cam below the lip of pitch 6 so there would be no abrasion if a hold blew and someone fell, which is exactly what happened. Skip P1 and walk off towards Ruined Castle, turn around then scramble back up the centre of the ridge instead. More fun. Would lead pitches 3-5 (easy runouts, rusty carrots on P3).

Scenic choss fest with pockets of fun climbing, not everyone's cup of tea.

Feels like you'll get impaled on the tree if you fell turning the lip.

Absolutely classic. Done before years ago. Among the best of the grade in the mountains

Epic adventure

Simul abseil all of them for a faster day. At the ground after abseil 1, walk right (facing the abseil) down the gully. Then head right (there are some bolts to protect the walk here) following the bolts until reaching the "crack-cave"? entrance and abseil 2. Abseil 3 and 4 are straight down. After abseil 4, head right and follow the track until DRP written in the face of the rock.

Pitch 1 tricky start on the arete.

Pitch 2, very short, with a face-climb crimpy crux in the middle. Defo feeling the exposure here

Pitch 3 juggyland!

After the top-out, head left following the line of bolts until reaching the ground of Abseil 1. To the left (facing the abseil) there is a line of U-bolts to go up (Pitch 4).

Made a good long link through hardish moves from the bottom lip up until one draw before the rooflet.

Actually really good, don't let the 2 stars scar you! Multiple bouldery cruxes separated by some rest and lovely varied climbing. Psyched!

Very short laybacking section on P2 and early in P3. Both are a little tricky and perhaps difficult to place gear whilst in those areas. Did as 2 pitches

Took the sooks way out for the warm down. Feeling closer on the business.

Fell of the crux roof of this with Mal Johnston belaying circa '79 in bare feet - ouch! Can't recall if he then lead but no need anyway: 20ish wall with a few sketchy moves and 3 crap bolts, 1.5m ceiling with what look like broken holds, then a 20m grade 8 slab with minimal pro. One for the history books.

This time deliberately jugged thru the crux.

This was a really cool wander. Lots of interesting bits. Seem to keep finding myself in a rather sideways orientation. A desperate exprience trying to not fall down... fun to fight.

Cool climb. Great steep first half.

Full on climbing but great - fresh skin and body hopefully does the trick

Fell a couple of moves lower this second time. Out of juice. For next time, match the narrow rail below anchors.

Shoulder caution to the wind. Fell one hold from the anchor. What a wild ride!

Hanging draws, sat quite a bit. Worried about my shoulder being less than 100%

Did most of the move, tried few time, felt much harder than the 28 I did lately.

Awesome climbing! Moves felt totally fine but I have no endurance, looks like I know where to put my training!

Definitely still 25, could even be 24. But 25 seems right for the grade

Little in ya face start, radical finish, sweet jugging in the middle. I was as pumped as I was on Mr Meaner and Tuckered out. #2ndGo

I can see why people might be put off by the ledge and rock quality at the bottom, but the top section has better rock and climbs really well.
