Ascents as sport by Philipp Wellmann having Distinct route

first 8a onsight. Happy about this one, after three days barely being able to do the moves in 8a's, because of over 30° Celsius... Finally perfect conditions. Basically two cruxes separated by a quite good rest. Kneebars help! First crux on a slopy single-tufa. Second crux on slopy pinches and sidepulls.

For a long time a goal of mine was to flash a 8a. Many times I failed, sometimes really close. Finally it happened. 25 m jugfest with a crux right before the anchor, which suited me well with a far shoulder move.

As soon as the spanish heat-wave ends,the sending time has come! On the last try of the day this overhangig arete-beast was conquered. The route itself is a endurance testpiece with steep and steeper parts, neither with hard cruxes nor with good rests. A little bit polished.

never 10- if you are not a minion. Cool boulder anyway.

Nice! Some hard moves over the lip and then a 7c to the top after a good rest.

Hard-to-read crux section. Easy but fun start and a tricky finish. Not the easiest 8a

#2go Adds a spicy crux after the first crux of "Daniel". Long move from a small crimp.

#2go What a beauty. 6C+ boulder entry, then 20 meters of crimpy endurance climbing with only one good hold in the middle.

Super fun endurance climb. Steep, without a single bad or painful hold.

#2go 40m climbed with a 70 m rope. i needed to abseil from the 5th bolt. The route was worth it. A lot of little cruxes, but not too resistant. climbed in wet fog.

Steil und brachial. Sehr Beta-abhängig, man kanns sich schwer machen.... Finde 10- angemessen.

#2go Two strange and ugly moves, but the quickdraws already hung there so i tried it... The moves are not as hard as a european standart 8a, but in these conditions it fits

Belle ligne

What a beast. Lots of diverse boulder problems separated by rests of different quality. I clipped the chains with nothing left in my arms, close to fall. This feels like a real benchmark for 8a routes. A route cant get any better than this.

nice overhanging climbing with long moves on large holds. Amazing finish of this years summer vacation.

Felt desperate at first, but after checking out the 4 hard moves for over an hour I found some beta that worked(toehook). Crimpy!

Spannende Züge: eine morpho Traverse, ein wilder Aufhock-Stütz-Boulder und dazu ein Runout. Hat etwas gedauert, aber heute gings dann doch sehr schnell.
