fantastic and as the write up suggests, urgency builds, especially as you discover the gear is non existent for 20 ft as the real stuff starts, then super fiddly to place. love it.

My first hardish free solo. A new experience in process and execution.

Training after work.

Made it up about 85% of the climb cleanly.

fell on the rope twice but once i worked out the sequence wasnt a bad climb, 21 seems a bit harsh of a grade

fun moves - good to try out. Quite pumpy

Pumpy for sure on the onsite... A decent 7m+ whipper from the final few moves. Shook out and climbed out.

Possibly the fastest top rope ascent. Good thing I didn't have to place gear. Happy to get up no rests.

Crux was lower than I was expecting, and through thin gear. Mostly medium nuts in the lower half, and small nuts to RPs in the upper half. Think I only placed one cam - a hand size one in the horizonal break.

Thinned out the rack and went for glory. Took a giant lob from the top and my little brass nut did the job. Stoked.

Clean then reworked the top third

The guides got to it first and had a TR set up so I jumped on. Keen to get the RP's out to give it a lead next time.

Great. Couldn't do it at all 3.5 years ago. No problem now, despite no sleep and no warm-up. Pretty sure I could trad it with enough practice on top rope (laps!).
