Ascents in Mr Wall

Struggled on the bulge this time. Did manage to get through eventually and did quite well on the upper headwall.

Got to experience first hand the echo effect at Diamond falls.

A quick refresh lap after failing on bliss. Glad it feels easier then last time.

Didn’t even get though the buldge today after two attempts sadly. I need more boulder power.

Back on this beauty! All moves went easily first shot. Feel so much stronger just gotta get some endurance and game on!

First time on this route. Really enjoying it. Will need to focus on the foot beta. And remember the long draws. Great to have solid beta from Ben.

Great beta refinement today. The buldge is still very hard for me but getting it dialed in. One hung the route from below the crux on my second shot. Pretty much feels like 23-V7-25.

Happy with progress today. Managed to get it to one sit, with highpoint. Adjusted my crux beta (thanks Paul) which makes it feel a lot more possible. Psyched! Frustratingly the primo connies came in the afternoon.

I have had a dabble on this a few times before, finally put some proper time into it today. 3 laps and after fall off the move 20+ times I linked the bulge 2nd lap and got to experience the rest of the route. Got though again on my 3rd lap. Pretty happy with the progress, add more time.

Warmed up on the first half of this route many times and decided to actually put some time into trying the whole route today. High point is 3 moves into midway crux which i was pretty happy with considering my woeful endurance. Need to refine my beta for the throw out left, but feel once I figure that out, the route (hopefully) may go down. In saying that, i know a lot of strong climbers who had this as a nemesis route for a prolonged period. Psyche is high!

Will beta for the tick, felt 28 even in the still heat. I earned my tick by replacing the anchor. Now it’s time for a real project. (14)

Stellar climb! Had no skin left when I started and even less after those crimps. Brilliant!

I really didn't take advantage of the best conditions for months. Felt pretty average on the moves but pulled out a high point/ one hang on my last lap. So not all bad..

Got rained off. First time a diamond falls and the weather was wild! Gail winds and rain.

My worst efforts in weeks. Struggling with the lower "crimp crux" today, though the upper moves were -comparatively- easy. Stripped it before I could get pissed off.

Thought i might get this today but no go. Hot, slimy and lack of reach at the crux. Maybe when it's cooler

Farrrk yeah! This thing is mega! One move not sorted but the rest isn't thaaat bad. Lock it in, for another project! Couple of goes up.

4 more working laps, no new highpoint today, but the top half is substantially more dialled and I got some great long links up there. Enjoying the (slow) progress towards the send of this beauty.

4 working laps. On the final attempt I had a breakthrough linking up onto the crux flake. Fell off the move out left twice, then a good link to the end. This has now gone from just "playing around" to "prospective project"... radical.

I little refresher lap for my next visit. I forgot how to do the first move so in had to check YouTube.

Merry Christmas to me. Went down placing the draws this morning in crisp connies. Such a cracker route, turns out skipping two clips in the top half is the secret to success. 17 shots over 7 visits!!

scarp and sweet. couldn't do the initial crux but the rest of the climb is brilliant: technical and sustained

New beta = New high point! Confidence is high for hopeful sendage soon!

Stuck the crux putting draws up but couldn't clip. Messed it second Got a sweet send connies third burn and high pointed but just not quite though the exit crux.

Well I made progress, not quite the tick I was hoping for but I high pointed through the crux to the bad left crimp. Poor foot work had me off. (3)

Ah the humbling DF experience... All moves done bolt to bolt, new high point on first proper burn, then the dreaded reverse progress lap. Ultimate goal is Super-Goo, because it would be crazy to clip the anchors of Magoo and not keep trucking. That last slam dunk move of Super Goo is incredible!

Just a little play in the roof. Sick powerful moves on big-ish holds in the roof but very core intensive. Next in line after SDG

New low point Pretty darn windy out there today, made some negative progress so I knuckled down and spent some skin really dialing in the crux. No easy wins at DF. (3)

Back to the old dog but I feel much stronger and smarter this time. 3 laps remembering moves, 1 hung it on the third. Got hailed on while walking out.

Lots of great climbing with a couple of good rests in between. Finishes way out over the top of everything else. Trying to catch and clip the long quickdraws in the wind was quite a challenge!
