Ascents in Launceston (Cataract) Gorge as Working

this climb is hard as! worked the moves today, gotta start linking

Can't say I did many moves but I tried them all

Bloody hard! But amazing bit of rock. Will take a much colder day and a lot of work to tick.

around 5 attempts at getting my butt off the ground but managed to slap the lip once on the best attempt. This will take a while and definitely feels harder than 9 at this stage.

Sustained crack, good rest holds, very committing finish.

A few more goes at the crux moves. Great to watch Alex climb this with style on the last go of the day.

Maybe it'll go, maybe it won't! The cruz is a bit span for lil arms but we'll see.

Neat climb, not sold on stemming though.

Hilariously wasted an exorbitant amount of energy trying the first move only to change out of my miura's and stick it first try with shoes with rubber that didn't feel like glass all moves sorted apart from the actual crux 😅 was able to throw to the lip but power sap from the faf at the start was apparent, going back with better tactics and better body positions should help.

Dabbed twice hitting the top jug. Feels so close

1 stick clip and 2x toprope laps. Did about half of the moves and held a fair few positions at the crux. Good to have a play on this line finally. Could use a hammer and wire brush as some of the rock is very rotten. Hannah smashed it, doing more of the crux moves than I could!

Very rusty bolts and flaking hangers. Recommend not leading this climb until bolts are replaced. I'll replace them next time I'm there if no one beats me to it.

Very close at the end of the day. Should go fresh.

A while to go yet but could be possible.

The start had me stumped.

Feels like it could go next session if fresh and have more skin... unfortunately have run out of sessions for this trip. One to return to for sure.

1st session, 3 laps on toppy. Last lap sat once about halfway to get out a stuck nut. Keen to come back and send!!

A solid foot has broken off and this thing now feels way harder. Need to wait for Jordan Grant to come back and try it again haha
