Ascents in Australian Capital Territory as various tick types

I'm so farkin close. sent every move grund up with a fall at the third bolt. I usually wouldn't log another dog ascent but I wanted to say that whoever fixed up the trail to mushroom rock and the other areas north along the ridge is amazing.

Quick top rope go, getting refamiliar with it

Rapped in and climbed out with a brush. Very nice moves, with the crux a delicate high right foot that would probably be about 16 if everything was clean. First bolt is quite high and intimidating above the drop. Finally starting to warm up these frozen fingers!

Admittedly did not climb this clean, but with all the moss scrubbed off possibly around 18? Spent a decent bit of time with a wire brush and got the worst of the lichen and loose crystals off. Would have appreciated a third bolt before the mantle onto wet moss. Rap rings that serve all routes on the boulder are in good condition. There's also a pile of cheater stones below a heinous-looking trad groove about five meters right of the start.

Not enough power to get the left hand throw. Might need to try different feet positions.

Still stuck on move 1: keeping the right toe on means I hit the gaston too low, and hitting the Gaston higher means I lose the right toe. Can't move the feet without falling off.

Too pumped at the end to go for the high right hand.

Heartbreaking dabs on the jump for the first two top out attempts and heel popped on the 3rd attempt during top out turning into a scary fall🥲

Finger crack and layback felt ok to piece together. Getting to the first part of the flake off the ground is the crux for me; maybe bad beta?

Nice crack moves into a tough thin section! Stoked to get all the moves 2nd shot, fingers were less stoked a ripped a big flapperoo. Next time!

Wow, just fell at the last bolt. Very smooth leading the trad part, lost focus at the end. Highly recommended!

First time in a few months, takes a lot of mojo to do the body tension moves while wanting to put heeps more gear in. Still good fun

Got super close on the Crux second go today, no dice though. The upper climb goes much easier. Stoked

If you were at Orroral Ridge or in the valley on this day, and heard someone getting murdered in the bush, it was actually me grating my body up this off-width crack. Bit of an awkward start, with a doable beginning section that I managed to climb clean. Getting through the overhang/squeeze section is what made me lose my shit. Once I fought my way through that after nearly giving up, the top-out was surprisingly pleasant.

This climb is well-protected, which is the only way I got through it. There are double bolts and a chain at the top with a comfortable ledge/bench seat for belaying. Great views of the valley at the top.

Couple of laps on TR, 1 sit. Close. There's now double ring bolts at the top, makes lowering off a dream.

Tips were in the freezer today 🥶

Im back and this things still hard but good progress, got the crux clean and punted after. Will be back tmrw for a hopefull toprope send. Also considering how quick I got that 26 at arapiles I reckon this thing is more than 1 grade harder
