Ascents in Phoenix as Hang dog

this is just a stand-in for cameltoe 11c which is immediately to climber's right, with the roof crux. although I should have tried this route as well!

So fatigued today

Just can't make myself try hard on the crux, its rather unpleasant.

Ethan wanted to do this. Finding the holds. There's no chalk. 4th bold is hard to clip.

Super close. I'd call this 12b.

So close to the OS. Couldn't find the holds above the last bolt quickly enough.

Cleaned. Not in shape for this one right now.

OS to the 9th bolt. Stick clipped 10 & 11. Hard & sustained up there.

Agh. Got so pumped at the very top.

Meh. Very hard low crux getting out of the choss. Not even sure what the sequence is.

Similar to its neighbor but more obvious. Couldn't do the hard/powerful crux sequence getting onto the face. Cruiser from there.

Only the first pitch, led by Caleb. This is not a 5.5, but officially a 5.7, and I think it was even harder than that. Could not see the footholds on this bloody camouflaging granite! Totally messed up the crag section (things you'll never see in a gym!), and Caleb had to talk me through almost every move.

An easy start leads to 2 bolts of hard climbing. This was the hardest route I had tried in a while and could not commit to the sequence on my redpoint go. Also there is a bunch of loose rock. Exciting runout after the crux!

Way Harder then 5.10a and High first bolt
