Great climb! Fourth pitch felt spicier than the first pitch though. Third pitch only had a few placements in some easier terrain, and fifth pitch took gear straight off the belay for around the first 10m. Dans’ first lead on gear, and was a pretty good intro for him.

Best of the climbs we did that day. Good rock, interesting moves, need to manage rope drag though particularly coming out of rooflet. We only had one 60m rope but there are rap chains in the left side of the cave you can use.

Epic route and day overall, made more spicy by the fact that we were actually supposed to be doing Cornerstone Rib for our “cruisy intro to warrumbungles” climb, but ended up doing this 20 variant. After a late start, we did the first 3 pitches as a party of 4, and linked them into 2 pitches. Then on the crux pitch, we separated parties. After the obvious horn, Lachlan headed too far L on the face and got unknowingly onto Buying the Farm. Still pretty cool climbing though (although it was Lachlan that had to lead it), with some tough moves and small gear. After the semi hanging belay, we rejoined Cornerstone Rib. Jackson and Nick stuck with Cornerstone Rib the whole way. Linked the last 2 pitches as well, which had some loose rock but still pretty good climbing with decent gear. We ended up finishing in the dark, not recommended, but relatively easy to find the way down with headlamps.
