Ascents in Tāmaki-makau-rau / Auckland

I don’t understand why the bolts were placed so low if the original beta was using the top edge. Is this grade 24ish if using the face? The top section is great though! Not sure if the ledges on the right are in though.

Good to get back on it, Pete did it on gear only, which makes sense if you're following the left crack. Gerald went direct on the bolts [i.e. more right].

Great to get back on it clean, offset went well in that constricting crack.

Found a second hand jam in the lowerpart of the crack [where I have sometimes put a cam]. Fantastic, just place a #3/4 higher to avoid blocking it.

Need to work on the feet.

Went to the right further up (for no reason) but will do it again following the crack the whole way up.

Second pre-clipped and face finish. Hard end of 22, could be 23

Staying further left makes the mantle easier, still a throw, but to more positive holds, also means the feet are better.

Got the move, if you go far right it's quite fun, but some slopey throws with not much feet make it hard.

That start, once I got the slopey jug I was able to do the rest, i.e. no top cruxes. Still no clue of how to connect up those first few moves, but I suspect I need to be further left so that the crack can be used for layback (as the holds are most positive that way).

Good to get back on it, some interesting moves and angles.
