Climbed the top section

Honestly not certain if this was even the route we did. Originally was searching for Hello Dolly but lost our bearings. We had no plates for the carrot bolts so we just kept walking from what we thought was the Hello Dolly wall back towards the lighthouse, spotted some u bolts (there was 3 of them), lowered ourselves and just climbed up. Mostly all jugs, there were a few ledges too.

Christ almighty!!!!!!!! Where even to begin? It was an EPIC, that's where I will start.

The sun was setting on our amazing weekend climbing point perp's gorgeous sea cliffs, above oceans abundant with whales, dolphins, seals, fish, and boats all playing. We all (5) decided to wrap down and finish together. Erin (LaErush), Jesse and I were finishing with a gr15 multi, that I wanted to lead for trad and exposure training. First thing that happened was a rock underfoot snapped as I tried to start the climb! Not good for headgame, but wanted to go anyway. Everyone was helpful and backed me . I led but not without issues - sunsetting, carrot rings popping due to my inexperience, and needing to downclimb to fix those and trad placements!! Whip fear was real. Erin seconded completely in the dark (epic effort) and Jesse cleaned.

I was most proud of the trad anchor I built and top belayed them on - it was Bomber and my friends sat in it. The boys who taught me (dyl/haz) should be proud of themselves for the knowledge pass.

While all this was happening on the gr18 crack that dyl and haz were on next to me there was knees poppin out and yelling but I was dealing with my own shit to help! fuck alllll happening what insanity. Dyl then lowered us torches and jumared up. wild.

we all got back together after for a huge elite pasta feed and debriefed the madness. A real EPIC! woweeeeeeeeeeee

Another dog to add to the profile lol, but at this stage with a head torch in the dark i was just happy to get to a) get to the top; b) survive; and c) demolish the huge pasta cook up after this solid epic

WOW where to start. Khush sets off to start leading when a huge rock breaks off falling onto the rope - not a great start. Khush the absolute superstar, still decides he wants to trad lead (despite the fact the sun is descending quickly by this time) sets of again. Never been so scared in my life for Khush - battling popping gear and Haz just above dislocating his knee. We all survived and got my first taste of a proper epic!!! No headtorch = no fear of the shear drop below

Made it an EPIC of course. The gang wanted to rap in and everyone was to climb something. Me and Hazbob went up the 18 crack, Khush wanted to refine his trad skills on the mixed 15 multi. We were already losing light QUICKLY. Khush goes to start the climb after hazbob has already left and his footer (a microwave and a half) falls off the rock onto his rope! Rope is allgood so he can keep climbing. Khush had to maintain a solid head through the choss and runouts! Hazbob got near the top and then dislocated his knee in the overhang, TAKE TAKE! Khush built a trad anchor at the top of his climb and I had to race up the 18 in last light as no one had torches. Double checked Khushs anchor (it was bomber). I fought the overhanging crack in the dark and made it to the top, checked on hazbob, grabbed some headtorches and set up a rap rope to deliver them to the battlas at the bottom of the cliff. I got to ascend the rope aid style (something I don't get to do often so I was frothin!) Wouldn't be an end to the epic however unless a footy sized rock falls off the wall and lands 30cm away from my melon. Good times. Epic Stuff

could write a long story and the epic night that was had down on that cliff. with some close calls and some things not working out as expected. thought I tore my MLC again, 3m from the top, through a crux roof. still dislocated (heard a pop) but ended up being ok, not too serious, more annoyed I didnt get the route clean and had to aid the last couple metres.

Climbing is a very complex sport, there is so many different aspects and techniques that you need to master in order to be a good (or at least decent) climber.

This climb challenges mainly three skills. 1. Pump management, 2. Resting positions and recovery. 3. Pace!

If you've started to reach the point where you are sending the 20-22 grade you will enjoy this thriller where for 25 meters you will not know the result, like a role game every move you are closer to see a happy ending, but every move the not very happy ending is also closer
