Definitely wouldn’t do it again

18 | ★★ The Rack - with Rachael Brock | 13m | Arapiles | ★★ Very Good | Mon 21st Mar 2022
A day of crack climbing! Started at 10am, and it was already roasting.
Pretty good line, with a few nice jambs and bomber pro |
18 | ★★ Golden Fleece | 35m | Arapiles | ★★★ Classic | Mon 14th Mar 2022
Fun, with a committing upper crux
18 | ★★ Kinkaid | 20m | Arapiles | ★ Good | Sun 13th Mar 2022
Much better than it looks from the ground
18 | ★ Shalimar | 31m | Arapiles | ★ Good | Thu 17th Mar 2022
Tough off the deck - remember a belay piece.
Finished out left, and it took me straight to the bolted anchor |

18 Easy | ★★ Voodoo - with Rachael Brock | 65m | Arapiles | ★★ Very Good | Fri 14th Apr 2023
Nice reminder of araps rock.

18 | ★★★ The Initiation | 90m, 1 | Mount Buffalo | ★★★ Mega Classic | Fri 24th Dec 2021
Easy, super fun climbing - absolutely loved the first pitch.
When abseiling in, aim for the left set of anchors, as the right will 100% twist your ropes. You can probably get away with a single 70m for the second rap, but only on rope stretch. If you’ve got an 80, happy days |
18 | ★★ Goodvibes Direct - with Rachael Brock | 22m | Moonarie | ★★★ Classic | Sun 9th Apr 2023
Interesting climbing, interesting gear. Looks intimidating, but there’s always bomber gear where you need it
18 | ★★ Alien Country - with Rachael Brock | 25m | Moonarie | ★ Good | Sun 9th Apr 2023
Nowhere near as fun as good vibes direct, but worth doing given the easy access and anchor
18 | ★★★ On Both Sides of the Glass Direct | 60m, 10 | Blue Mountains | ★ Good | Sat 17th Feb 2024
Not bad, despite the fact that most of it was damp.
Surprisingly, there’s quite a few unnecessary bolts, with good pro directly next to it. First bolt on P1, and at least 3 of the bolts on P2. Was good news for me, considering I left my bolt plates in the car |
18 | ★ Joslab | 23m, 3 | Blue Mountains | Average | Sat 24th Apr 2021
Surprisingly well protected despite appearances from the ground. Apparently it’s a lot harder for the shorties
18 | ★★★ The Eternity | 22m | Blue Mountains | ★★★ Mega Classic | Sat 24th Apr 2021
It was a weekend, and nobody was on it, so we got on.

18 | ★★★ Amen Corner | 30m | Blue Mountains | ★★★ Classic | Sun 2nd May 2021
Manny had a good crack as his first trad lead.
I know why it’s called “amen corner”. Definitely praying for some gear by the end of the wide section |
18 | ★★★ The 80 Minute Hour - with Rachael Brock | 30m, 4 | Blue Mountains | ★★ Very Good | Sat 1st May 2021
Came in from the right to protect the start. Good climb, but I wouldn’t call it a classic
18 | ★★★ Big Boris (modern version) | 90m | Orroral area | ★★★ Classic | Sun 17th Apr 2022
First pitch has a couple interesting moves. The 2nd pitch is awesome climbing up the arete, better than it looks.
But damn that 3rd pitch just keeps on giving. First the flake, then the exposed ridge, and an awesome step-across the chimney. |
18 | ★★ Gladiator | 20m | Frog Buttress | ★★★ Classic | Sun 21st Aug 2022
Somehow I hadn’t logged this one yet. Always a fun lap

18 Easy | ★★★ Fuzzy Navel | 75m | Evans Crown | ★★★ Mega Classic | Sat 2nd Sep 2023
Absolutely epic, must do. Goes in 1 pitch on a trimmed 70.
Thought we were on bilbo doing the left variant (didn’t really read well, just went for the best looking line). A lot of concern about running out of rope, but we made it. |
18 | ★★ Lost Wanderer - with Rachael Brock | 25m | Mount Wellington | ★★ Very Good | Thu 9th Feb 2023
Enjoyable, but I didnt realize it had so much green-red 😅 that traverse might be tricky if you’re super short
18 | ★★★ Plume | 25m | Frog Buttress | ★★★ Mega Classic | May 2020
18 | ★ Kufr | 40m | Cape Raoul | ★★★ Classic | Sun 25th Dec 2022
5 stars for the handcrack! Absolutely incredible! Take 2 stars for the questionable rock up top, and it’s still worth doing. Maybe a better option than Rain of Terror (more direct to jihad if you step right at the top out), but you’d need an extra .75-2.
Where’s the crag “yo-yo” tick style? Took the guide’s recommended light rack, and forgot the #3, then got lost and missed Rain of Terror. 2/3rd of the way up, with only 3 pieces in, and no more gear that would fit, I decided the only safe approach is to retrieve the two pieces under me. Does mean I got to do the route twice, which is awesome |
18 | ★★★ Resurrection Corner | 25m | Frog Buttress | ★ Good | Mon 6th Jun 2016
Top roped to halfway and finished on lead. So much better now I know how to jam properly
18 | ★ Shanghai - with Harrie Van de Linde | 30m | Arapiles | ★ Good | Thu 17th Mar 2022
Harrie’s lead. More of the same really, the first move is the crux
