Anal Flencing Boulder | ||||||
V8 | ★★★ Anal Flencing Direct — 8 attempts | ★★★ Classic

Tue 17th Jan 2023 - Mountain Quarry
Trackside Boulder | ||||||
V7 | ★★ Balls Deep in Gnar — 9 attempts | ★★ Very Good
Felt like V12. Bush bashing, afternoon sun blazing the rock and my pant fly constantly unzipping cause of recent weight gains definitely made me question the conditions. Took me a while to get the first move, wasn't a good idea to warm up on that move. Took a few more send attempts to engage core and try hard.
Fri 13th Jan 2023 - Statham's Quarry
Michel Angelo Walls | ||||||
24 | ★★ All the Young Fascists — 2 attempts | 15m, 6 | ★★ Very Good

Still found the bottom crux pretty tough and taxing.
Sun 8th Jan 2023 - Roleystone
V8 | ★★★ LG — 6 attempts | 3m | ★★★ Classic
Awesome feature with cool moves. I was too weak to do it the way Andy did in his video. Had to use some alternative beta.
Sat 24th Dec 2022 - Roleystone
V9 | ★★★ Claim to Shame, sit — 7 attempts | ★★★ Classic
Xmas Eve morning send! Great crew and fun times. Was struggling to use the toe hook beta that some of the boys were using for the start. Managed to do the catch. The top is pretty exciting especially if you blow off, you will land in the trees like Dave did today! Also the stand feels harder than a V2, maybe more like a solid V4?
Sat 17th Dec 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Carpark boulders | ||||||
V8 ~V4 | ★ Mission Ignition — 6 attempts | 2m | ★ Good
Managed to do this statically whilst sitting on my right foot. Think doing it this way is very reach dependant, I was borderline. Struggled getting the right hold well for a few goes, then borrowed my friends knee pad and it was like cheating. Turned something hard into V4 thanks to the kneepad.
Fri 16th Dec 2022 - Roleystone
V5 | ★★★ Claim To Shame — 6 attempts | ★★★ Classic
Big moves. Top moves are pretty committing.

Sun 4th Dec 2022 - Boulder Rock
In-stink area | ||||||
V8 ~V9 | ★★ Use Your In-stink — 9 attempts | 5m | ★★ Very Good
Struggled to get the first crimp, had to use some trickery instead of thuggery. The top out is definitely not a gimme. Would suggest brushing off moss off the smears and the top "crimp". I found myself clinging onto that crimp and looking down to decide which would be the softest looking tree I would dive for if I slip. Even after moving my feet up onto the smears and crimping for my life, there wasn't anything positive higher. Thank God I found the right jug by chance!

Thu 24th Nov 2022 - Black Cave

I feel like this climb is a hit or miss. To some people it's easy, to others like me, it's hard especially when you're not good at lock off's. Found it pretty fun after failing on it 8 years ago

Fri 9th Sep 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Hangten Buttress | ||||||
29 | ★★★ Animalistic Rage | 18m | ★★★ Classic
Super stoked! Wasn't sure if I should head out for a session as I was feeling tired but didn't want to miss out on the nice weather. Figured out some microbeta on the first attempt. The whole reason I felt like I had a weak core during my last session was because I changed the way I used a hold. Managed to send on my second attempt. So pumpy! Can't imagine leading it yet.

Really enjoyed the moves. Similar feel to finger hooks with an explosive finish

V5 | ★★ Do You Even Lift? | 3m | ★★ Very Good

V8 | ★★ Finger Hooks | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Sharp and very right shoulder intensive. Conditions are great tonight and the right shouldery hold actually felt like there was an edge on it. After the mozziss came out, I knew I had only had 1 more go and off it went. Really enjoyed the movement and sequence.
V7 | ★★ V-Juice | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Tried to do the alternative beta with the right heel hook at the starting hold. First time trying it I managed to stick the v slot statically but knee was making some popping sounds.... So had to go the direct method after.

Always found the last move hard on this one. Somehow managed to find some juice in the tank to squeeze hard on that left hand
V11 | ★★★ There Will be Blood | 3m | ★★★ Mega Classic
Awesome line. Found it easier than when I last tried 2 years ago. I found the start very particular for the finger / hand placements. Before going for the big move, I moved my feet closer and was able to staticly reach the hold.
Managed to send it on my first go after dialling in the traverse and ending. Woohoo! |

FFA. Stoked to have finally sent it after spotting it with Elinor last year! Found that the rock was a bit wet under the crack. Found a kneebar rest 1/3 way in. Good gear at the start then there's a section shortly after where the gear is a bit dodgy for 5m. Plugged a solid cam just before the bouldery move and went for it. Left foot slipped just before the top but managed to recover and slam dunk the final jug. Pumpy. Thank you to Jiri for all the support and El for psyching me up to try it when I doubted myself.
