Takes in the crux of ‘Climb 10’ so should als be worth V3?

Did this one twice using different holds each time. Neither felt like just V1.

A bit contrived avoiding the cracks at the top.

There was a gecko in the good hold under the roof so we had to do an eliminate version which made it interesting. Good moves to get established above the roof.

I’d suggest leaving the second bolt clipped as it keeps the line if the rope away from the sharp edge of the roof - and the climb is too short to worry about rope drag.

A couple of pleasant moves up the arete then easy to the anchors.

Just 2 bolts, but the climb doesn’t need any more. However, it would be possible to add trad gear if you wanted.

One hard move using the mono to reach the pocket left of the second bolt. Clipping the carrot to the right of the upper crack/flake is a better option than the dodgy bolt on this climb. Cleaned the holds and removed spiders webs when lowering from the adjacent climb so can’t claim an onsight ascent. .

Abseiled to clean as the crack was filthy, then top-roped as the last climb of the day. Excellent varied climbing - but needs to have more traffic to clean it up for it to get more stars. .

Needed brushing before we could get up this one. Looks as if it doesn’t get many ascents.

Tenuous top out. Scary!

Dirty sloping mantle to finish. Would be worth brushing the top first.

Very pleased to get the onsight on this one. Quite intimidating moves onto the right of the arete but surprisingly ok once you commit. Classic extension to Septic Penguins making a great single pitch climb.

A little worrying to see a fair amount of water seeping out the rock at the third bolt.

Still a great climb. Now safer with the bolt in the roof but it adds rope drag. Also good to get at it direct using the new log start, which is stable and well attached.

Another lap on this classic. This time was a quick run up with the gear already in place - thanks, Tim

Very hard initial mantle / crimp and high step At the start, followed by a pleasant finish.

Pleasant start to large ledge. Just the one hard(ish) move through the roof past the second bolt.

Great climb. The start is a little technical but ok when you work out the moves. The upper arete is lovely. Easy for the grade. Probably easier than Life on Hold - but that’s hard for the grade.

Nice fingers jambs to the ledge, then solid hand jambs on the upper crack. Good climbing that would be even better if it received more ascents to clean it up.

The warm up. Gave us something to think about

Pleasant climbing on thin holds. First bolt quite high.

Lovely, flowing moves up the arete. First bolt quite high but ok to clip.

Second bolt was a little awkward to clip, then I didn’t see the third bolt until after I’d done the top mantle.

In addition to a Camelot 4 for the top break, you can protect the move to the first bolt with a small cam in the vertical crack to the right oft The start.

Bottom bolt too low, then a reach from the good pocket to the second bolt, where if you missed the clip you would hit the ledge. Fortunately, the moves are relatively easy.

The edges of the crack felt as though they could break off at any second - but didn’t.

What a classic! Swung leads with Tim. Finished and abseiled off in the dark. ‘Interesting’ proposition, especially with four of us one the two-bolt anchor in the middle of the face.

The appetiser,

Lovely climbing. Solid hand jambs in the first section over the roof getting wider as you get higher. Cams are easy to place when ever you want.

Didn't pause for a rest at the fourth bolt so was definitely feeling the pump on the finishing moves. Draws already in which helped too.

Draws on carrots placed by Roman made it relatively straightforward

Mantled the top using a hold on the arête this time. About the same grade as omitting the arête.

Awkward start over the roof at the grade. Easy after the first move.
