Missed the chance for a lead but enjoyed a couple of clean laps.

You know what, doing it again today, this is a total ripper of a climb. One of my all time favourites. It's going to have to go on the lead list

Great route for the grade, kinda tricky

First lap on TRS. All moves done. Relentless. Will take quite a few sessions

Finally clean lap on TRS. Avoided all the choss by climbing on the right side of the arete. Time to lead. 40’30”

So rad. Keen to send it on lead!

Another crack at TRS, this time on something harder. Figuring out some efficiencies in my setup & getting more confident.

As for the route, found it absolutely nails. The layback crux was brutal, and I think even without midday sun and shit condies I’d have had a nightmare on it. Ended up aiding through it, couldn’t get any purchase at all on the slick rock w my dirty shoes.

first crack at TRS, somewhat janky but it worked pretty well.

not super stoked about my rope landing on a heavily-used tampon but i guess it was due a wash anyway… oh KP…

Placing cams to test what a good placement is and what is not

Got it! Man that crux move (at the bolt) is tough. And I have no idea how you'd do it if you weren't 6 foot tall. Then finishing up the mini buttress is really desperate too, with one particularity sharp crimp. It'd be worth an extra star if it wasn't such painful desperation. Maybe when I'm stronger!

Finally climbed it clean! Really nice, interesting climb with good variety. Now that I've got a sequence, at my height it's a bit easy. But it took a while to get there!

Really bloody hard. Didn’t work the crux out, felt absolutely desperate. Inspiring line!

Not sure what category of climb to grade this as. I climbed it TRS to suss it out as a high-ish boulder, as all the hard moves are below 4-5m. The anchors are solid though so you might as well use them, although rope drag could be an issue.

Probably a V4ish reachy crux with a great undercling-kneebar on the rooflet and a committing high left heel hook to big reach for a jug.

Maybe 18-19???
