2 pitches alt leads, thought the descent was harder than the climb

2 pitches alt leads, about 1 hour 15 min from start to back to bags seeing we had the descent sorted. Given I would normally solo this that's not too bad

Maybe I could have done without the tricky move in the middle at this stage

No bees. But likely a lorikeet. Quite contorting. I was meant to restrict myself to 10 and below, but these are more interesting

Quick solo to stay warm

Pretty happy , even though it was a top rope. Great effort by Dave on his attempted redpoint.

5 bolts in 30 m with no useful gear between- no thanks. The top 10 m is a gear crack. Can use anchors for edge of ecstasy to top rope, 70 m rope will get you down. Hard move through rooflet on arête if short, especially when the intermediate snapped on me first go.

We both got this clean third attempt. The climb is also cleaning up ( loose small flakes and moss). Has 2 bolts below each cruxy bit, but will feel exciting on lead.

This route is always nice, good rock

Second P1, led P2, Barley puts up some good routes but this isn't one of them. There is 7m of good climbing around a block on P2 after an Ok arête sequence, but you wonder what keeps the block there. The first pitch was exfoliating weetbix. The rock in the crack just starts to improve when you are made to traverse across some ok face moves to arête. I don't mind choss, the route to the left has quite a bit, but was was a good adventure. This is just crap and hopefully I have stopped someone else's suffering with my description. If you must a single rack from TCUs to # 4 helps.

If this was somewhere else, and had a few more bolts it would be popular ( and clean). Interesting double arête moves, almost felt like I was at Bulahdelah. Up to tree. More like 22/23R, but a convenient TR.

Finger and toe destroying. Diabolical start again if you can't reach crimp from horn foothold. Once I managed that I was not going to fall off. I have no ambition to lead this. Nice climbing, lots of fragile flakes.

Kind of pink point start with a high runner at base of twin cracks. Took a couple of goes, and I had to leave the rack there to collect en passant. The start was dirty and slippery and detracts from an otherwise great climb. Then fell at the end on first go despite reading the moves right when my heel unexpectedly slipped. Went second time.

Warm up lap, the ground has disappeared from below this so hard to get on

About a year ago, did after doing LNG

Seconding Neil. He had headed into the 22 to the left by mistake but fortunately I didn't have to do the reachy move, just traverse out and retrieve the bolt plate and draw

Great climb, crap rock. Nice exposure leading to belay, did as one long pitch, 18 draws

Hard to grade, but is quite overhung at start so bouldery to get into.

The cam placements are quite good

Yep, needs some anchor attention, better than the rock quality suggests

Should have taped the ankles for this one. Not sure I could get off the ground with cams required, but it was fun to top rope. Felt more like the " snuffler" today with the flu.

I must be sick, I enjoyed the struggle of the chimney at the top

Overhanging finger and hand jams that is not straight forward. Good to see the FA sandbagged on his own route. Agrees 21, though I reckon New Horizons wasn't that much harder.

Ok climbing but the blocks are a little disconcerting

Probably not even 20 if you bridge after 4th bolt off other wall which seems how it was designed. Needs some anchors when I get time

Something a bit different

Did the 23 version bailing left after trying the direct finish multiple times. Can almost do it direct, a wicked mantle. I was pretty sure Jules did it direct. 25 is reasonable that way I think, very balancy

Wide to off fingers, short

Did consider leading but the fall looks ugly if you come off between the 2 bolts as you would hit the triangular ledge

Really nice climbing. Would have excellent pro with small cams after 4 m

The top is fairly green, getting into the crack was quite tricky

The gear required is a #9, 12 and a big bro. Sadly we had these. I may have stood on one of the cams that was in the way, more like a body chimney for me

According to my climbing partner this has been dumbed down into a grade 18 sports route. I found it still scary on second
