Ascents as Flash as trad by Ben Jenga

Redemption, almost 10 years after I back off it due to wet holds. Felt pretty easy on Paul’s gear.

Great long warm up in approach shoes. Lovely rock.

Another trip objective goes down without too much of a fight. Happy to flash on Paul’s gear. Plenty of different styles on this but the heartbeat on the pod was a bit surreal.

Lap on simo’s gear. He made it look 24 but turns out it is 20 and good chimney practice. Up to the lower off.

No pressure lap on Paul’s gear. Fun enough with plenty of run up top but over good gear. Would be 21 at Shipley with bolts

Quick lap on Mitch’s gear, great easy trad route

Harder than it looks from the ground but fun enough. The only no star route we did all trip

Another great route on this wall but a touch more pumper then I would have liked for a warm up. Has a taipan feel about it after the crimp traverse.

Placing gear but with chalk all over it I can't claim an onsight. I think this is better, harder and longer then tranzister. Great rock on this one.

The reason we came here 7 years ago (but forgot small gear) and the reason we came back today. Great onsight by Emil which set the theme for many flash repeats placing gear. Hard pull at the crux roof with bomber gear then good crack holds above.

Tuff warm up, I can tell I haven't climbed many slabs recently cause this felt hard. Great fun though.

Easy flash thanx to Pauls gear. Hard crimpy start but gets easier and easier to the top out. Some of the Rock is a bit soft but fun.

Fun easy route but I think it would be scary of it was your max grade. Very polished.

The way we climbed this up comeing on Chris, with the gear in it 22...Max. Still a fun climb with some great holds and bomber gear.

Kind of fun and a good adventure. Take lots of long draws.

The one long pitch... A big hold had recently broken off above the first bolt but I doubt it really changes the grade. A couple of interesting moves and a couple of cams takes you to the half way ledge and a rest before attacking the upper pitch. I found the top sequence harder and not as good as I thought it would be. Sadly its contrived and hard to stay off the top moves of Sacred Site.

45 metres of pumpy orange goodness. Andy onsighted the full climb then lowered back the the top of the first pitch. I second the first pitch with some wild and hard traverse moves then keep plugging to flash top pitch. Pretty dang pumped at the cliff top. Windy!!

Nice warm up romp. Nice to tick a summit.

Super, reminded me of some of the first pitch routes on taipan. A great find Kent. Linking unlikely pockets on great rock.

Just the first half then up to the diminishing returns lower off. Great long adventure route the way. Psyched to do the rightward traverse next time I am back.

Warming up for the big show, trickier then it looks from the ground. The second half will make this a better longer warm up once dot adds a new anchor.

Thompsons point trad.!! An off size for my hands, cupped hands made the crux feel really insecure.

Yep the name says it all, wide cracks for real men (that's why I used the face holds). Free booty wire, the second number 4 wild country booty wire of the trip.

Flashed on Paul's gear. A bit of a one move wonder but a bit of fun. The wind made the top half a bit tricky.

Flashed on Paul's gear, finding the bomber wire slot he was looking for to make the crux safe. After watch Paul battle I was put off and intimidated but the moves on the crux weren't to hard just committing. Hard man classic. Closer to E3???

Not to hard just a two move wonder. An wee bit sandy and not as good as some of the other E2 around the crag but worth a lap if you have done everything else.

Again on Paul's gear, he laced up the crux but it wasn't to hard. Steep jamming. I was worried about some of the wet spots but it doesn't effect the climb.

First pitch only for a little fun. Good fun steep jugs.

Way cool, lap up Paul's gear. Great Wall climbing with a few run outs and some gripping moves. The top underling flake was scary.

A quick warm up lap before getting on the fang. Not much decent gear in the middle but easy climbing, first pitch only to the tree.

A classic of the area which starts by traversing along a old water pipe then across and up a slab to a massive chain and up a slanted V groove crack. Pretty soft but a good one. This quarry has to be see to be believed....

After watching Paul climb up this loose and scary line I was a little worried leading on his gear but most of it was bomber behind the loose flakes. A couple of hard moves at the top but the lower death flakes have been removed now so it's a lot more solid.

Not as hard as it looks, and much more fun. Plenty of rests and stances but some hard locking inbetween. Lead on Paul's gear.

Nice one Jammy jam a lot. Lead placing gear after giving Paul a catch, pretty straight forward climb with one tricky spot. Rapped off a bit block up top.

After Paul made the start look really hard I was a little worried but the climb was fine. By the look of things not a good warm up

A pleasant arête climb, a bit thin on gear in places but has some great arête moves.

Only did the first pitch. Really good climbing and a bit stiff at the crux. Great single pitch trad line

I think this is the right climb. Tricky steep hand jam start then nice climbing.

Found the knee bar Thom missed on the onsite. No to hard but good climbing.
