Ascents in Tāmaki-makau-rau / Auckland as Flash

Flashed this one while it was raining. Interesting experience, but I had to do it to get the gear off Felt very easy.

Slightly hard to get to the first bolt for the grade, but then really chill slab. Last move over the bulge is a bit blind, so it also feels a little hard for the grade, but more mentally than physically.

Really nice climb. Beautiful arete with a big feature that is fun to hoist up on to for the second half. Easy but adventurous feel.

Climbed it clean and found a place to do a nice heel hook.

Second warm up

Nice arete. Fun, short route

First clip at the top of a blocky staircase. Left side of crack is a big boulder that looks like it will fall some day.

Too short without enough moves

Interesting reading the route description, bears little resemblance to the climb. Saying that, hugely enjoyable, managed to use 2 chockstone runners, a tree root but sadly failed with a hex. Quick efficient placing of gear, again most unlike me. Took bloody ages to remove top chockstone runner, got jammed right in the crack.
