Wed 6th Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
The Nest & Wild Kingdom
6a+ Banana Hammock Sport 25m, 7 Good
Totally exhausted after Humanality but jumped on this because Id heard good things - it was a good climb, would have gotten it clean if Id had more energy!

6a Caroline's Last Day P1 Sport 22m, 9 Average
Nice way to finish off the trip...

Mon 4th Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Eagle Wall Left Side
6b Desayuno de Nono Sport 30m, 13 Very Good
Different styles of climbing as the rock changes on the way up. Nice height too. Rest at the crux... ah! Paul H took amazing shots on this route

Mon 4th Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Tyrolean Wall
6b+ Missing Snow Sport 20m, 8 Very Good
Paul H took some amazing pics of this climb! Not too hard, but you need to get the moves. Again, another climb to go back and tick!

Mon 4th Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Dum's Kitchen
6b+ The Sit Spins Sport 20m, 8 Good
Warm up. Should have led it, but wanted to be quick and get on Missing Snow

Mon 4th Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Ton Sai Wall & Roof
6b+ Humanality Sport 110m, 45 Mega Classic
1 fall on the second pitch, so unsatisfying! Paul H did a great lead on our early morning start (my last morning in Tonsai) and gave good beta on pitch 3 which has some funky topher moves. Beautiful view the whole way up

Sun 3rd Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Monkey World
6b Big Wave (The Wave) Sport 110m, 33 Classic
Beautiful smooth climbing and amazing view! Paired up with Ben for this climb on his last day in Tonsai. I led pitch 1 (not too exciting), 3 and 5 (fun crux move to finish the whole climb!)

Fri 1st Feb 2008 - Ton Sai
Cat Wall
6b Devil Cat Sport 23m, 8 Good
I knocked my knee on this climb and bled all over the rock when I realised (and then rested). Hard crux move for my short arm span

6b Cat & Cobra Sport 20m, 7 Very Good
Pumpy! Good beta from Kirilee. Wish I'd found time to go back and lead this.

Thu 31st Jan 2008 - Railay
Hidden World
6b Space Head Gone Ape Sport 11m, 5 Good
Sam told us this was a 6A to get Em and I to lead it. It was hard! The crux move was very smooth and balancey over a topher...

Thu 31st Jan 2008 - Railay
Jungle Gym
6a Focus on Your Abdominal Breathing Sport 23m, 8 Good
Felt solid on this climb. The hardest moves were high and they weren't too bad at all

Thu 31st Jan 2008 - Railay
Muay Thai
6b+ Muay Thai (Muai Thai) Sport 15m, 5 Good
Split my big toe open on a rock this morning. Fun climb, although the area was crowded with the climbing school.

Tue 29th Jan 2008 - Railay
The Keep
6c Nut Cracker Sport 25m, 7 Very Good
Wish I did more climbs at The Keep, this was good fun! Didn't feel too bad to rest after Paul did on the lead... oops

Tue 29th Jan 2008 - Railay
One-Two-Three
6b Make A Way Sport 27m, 10 Good
Tue 29th Jan 2008 - Railay
Castle Wall
6b Hard-Headed Woman Sport 25m, 9 Good
Not 100% sure this is the climb I led. Emily led Paul and I off the path so we traversed out and rapped down to a ledge, and I climbed back up to get the draws. Epic but fun!

Tue 29th Jan 2008 - Railay
Duncan's Boot
6a Karaoke Sport 12m, 4 Good
Pumpy! First climb after Tonsai illness struck from 26-28th... not a half bad effort!

Sat 26th Jan 2008 - Ton Sai
The Nest & Wild Kingdom
6a+ Wacky Weed Sport 23m, 8 Good
Really frustrated by the crux move on this climb. Once I'd figured it out (found a nice pocket for my right hand and got my feet high stemming) I had no energy and the sun was getting low...

Fri 25th Jan 2008 - Railay
Thaiwand Wall
5 6c Organ Grinder (Organ Grinder p1 / Inaka p1 / Continental Drifters p1) Sport 25m, 11 Average
Time to move on from leading 5's...

5 7a Live and Let Thai (Live & let Thai P1) Sport 25m, 9 Average
I think this is the right climb? Common 1st pitch with Continental Drifters.

6b Monkey Love Sport 25m, 7 Very Good
There is a scary step over space a bolt or two from the end. Would be fun to lead this climb one day!

Thu 24th Jan 2008 - Ton Sai
Dum's Kitchen
6b+ The Sit Spins Sport 20m, 8 Good
Really enjoyed the layback moves on limestone. Cool little traverse at the start too.

Thu 24th Jan 2008 - Ton Sai
Ton Sai Wall & Roof
6c Hin Rong Hai Sport 22m, 7
I was seconding this climb on my first morning in Tonsai (very tired!) and missed by 2 bolts. After I fell off I couldn't reach the rock again

6b Cowabungalow Sport 25m, 7 Very Good
Thu 24th Jan 2008 - Ton Sai
The Nest & Wild Kingdom
6a Caroline's last day P1 Sport 22m, 9 Average
Not a hard climb. Annoyed with myself for resting on the crux move - it wasn't hard, just strong. Which I wasn't at the end of day one in Tonsai!

Thu 20th Dec 2007 - Barrenjoey
Southwest
14 Starboard Barnacles Sport 20m Good
Nice little warm up route to start the day

21 Wild Gravity Mixed trad 12m, 3
Nice lay back move to get off the ground, then super crimpy holds! I also half squished a spider in a cobweb covered hold... obviously this isn't a super popular climb?!

16 Professor Wigginsworth's Chunder Bucket Mixed trad 20m, 3 Good
Mon 10th Dec 2007 - Nowra
Thompson's Point The Pocketed Wall
20 21 Je Baise Ma Frangine (Je Baise Ma Fraigne) Sport 12m Very Good
Had a rest at the crux move (for me at least this was the move past a very very well chalked ledge. Reachy) ... still stocked to have lead a 20!!!

Mon 10th Dec 2007 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Little Grease Cave
21 Mosquito Slap Sport 30m Good
Severely Pumpy! Got the first 5 draws on and took my first lead fall just below the cave. Definitely one to go back to...

Mon 10th Dec 2007 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Descent Gully Walls
17 Hang On Sport 15m, 6 Good
First climb of the day... was doomed not to be too good following committing coffee crimes (instant with powdered milk), which was reasonably promptly vomited up, and then being stung on the foot by random bug on the walk in. :s

Mon 10th Dec 2007 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Gunbarrel Wall
18 Diddy Kong Sport 24m, 8 Good
A little reachy in parts but still good fun. Gear was preplaced after Matt B's lead

Mon 10th Dec 2007 - Nowra
Thompson's Point Descent Gully Walls
17 Mad Hatter Sport 20m, 12 Very Good
Ambitous considering still feeling like being sick. Great fun with good exposure though. Struggled a little bit with the rope drag as I was clipping another rope in behind me for Matt.

Mon 3rd Dec 2007 - Barrenjoey
Southwest
16 Mode Sport 14m, 3 Good
Hard to stick the first move or two when it's a really hot day! Smooth sailing after that

Mon 19th Nov 2007 - Oatley Park
15 C Trad 6m Average
14 DumbPump (D) Trad 6m Don't Bother
Climbed using trad gear rather than top roping it. Chossy top out

Sat 20th Oct 2007 - Barrenjoey

16 Wild Ride Trad 18m Average
Grusome start! I went up left past the first bolt, whereas Dave M (leading) went right... not sure if either of us got this right... Rest of the climb was good

14 Carrie Bradshaw Mixed trad 12m, 3 Good
15 Cosmic Ecology Trad 12m Average
Getting off the ground was a struggle! Took a few goes! Climb gets easier as it goes. Hardest 15 I've ever tried!?

14 Pledge a Legend Trad 16m Good
Nice climb! Backed of the crux move past the traverse before commiting to it second time around. The last section at the top was a bit slopey for my liking as well...

Sat 20th Oct 2007 - North Head
Main Area
17 The Fear Trad 47m Mega Classic
Amazing view! Also new found respect for fishermen (based on the descent from the lookout). First pitch was sweet! First move on the second was totally defeating! Aid past here... the rest was absolutely fantastic Nice lead by Hamish

Sat 20th Oct 2007 - Barrenjoey
Southwest
16 Mode Sport 14m, 3 Good
First bolt is scary high! I heard a collective sigh of relief when I placed the first draw from all the crowd below... haha. Sweet climb!

Sun 7th Oct 2007 - The Cathedral
Main Crag
17 Ozone Action Mixed trad 20m, 3 Very Good
Oh my goodness me! Please take note this is a mixed route! I didn't know this and had the scariest move ever to place a draw on what turns out to be the 23 to the left of OA... not sure how that averages out with the grading?!

Sat 6th Oct 2007 - Berowra
Blackboard Wall
17 Yesterday's Heroes Sport 12m, 4 Very Good
Hardest lead climb yet! Crux move was just under the second ring bolt - smooth sailing from there

Sat 6th Oct 2007 - Berowra
Pimple Buttress
18 It's For You Sport 10m, 3 Average
Thought this was the 15 around the corner - was a bit ambitious for the first climb after a big night out...

Sun 30th Sep 2007 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Flake Crack Area
11 Angular Crack Trad 25m Good
Easy climb. My first ever trad lead though!!! Very memorable... for both me and Mash's nut that will never be quite the same again...

Sun 30th Sep 2007 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Eternity Area
17 Psychopath Trad 28m Mega Classic
Took 3 goes to work out how to hand-jam, and with the stretch in the double rope I had to redo the start moves every time! Once going though this was an awesome climb! A bit of everything, hand jam, fist jam (for little hands like mine), chimney, slight over hang... loved it!

19 Judas Trad 32m Good
First climb of the day, freezing cold rock and lots of wind. A painful climb, but glad I made it to the top despite slumping off more than once...

Sun 30th Sep 2007 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Pindari
20 This Sporting Life Sport 43m, 15 Good
Ambitious last climb of the day with the sun about to set. Led half of the first pitch but got stuck at a reachy spot. Second pitch was really pumpy and I was climbing by head torch light by this time. Had to rest so many times! Would like to see this is the light sometime...

Shameful slip just past half way on this climb. Caught on camera as well! (Thanks Jiho!)

Wed 11th Apr 2007 - Berowra

Loved this! Lost my footing about halfway, but never lost the wall with my hands. Amazed myself even!

Wed 11th Apr 2007 - Berowra

17 Yesterday's Heroes Sport 12m, 4 Very Good
Think I crossed a bit too far to the left (into another climb?) But really enjoyed this climb. Nice holds for the second half of the climb

Wed 11th Apr 2007 - Berowra
Ladder of Gloom Area
19 Ladder of Gloom Sport 12m, 4 Good
First ever outdoors climb! Jiho and Callum helped pull me up the rope over one section, but not too bad an effort considering I'm only climbing 16's indoors!
