Rpt, we thought we were about to get rained out. Tried the left variant finish as well.

A bit of this, a bit of second pitch of something else. It was ok. Friend enjoyed the multipitch experience

Grungy, loose etc. not sure how it scored 2 stars in the guide

The crux was quite fun, would feel ok on lead with a bit of a scrub I think

Oblivious doesn’t really differ much from this.

Rpt. Good climbing, though quite Sandy in places

I’m not a great fan of this route

Not too bad for a sandstone crack

This felt pretty easy even in a post viral fog. Pitch 1 only

First pitch then went straight to finish up HP. The Rooflet felt slippery with the amount of stuff I was carrying out.

Felt as nice as the first time. I think the low sentry box size suits me for a change

Supporting Daves desire to redo some old classics

Now that I can jam this route is great, I prefer it to Eternity

Pretty hot in the afternoon sun, called it a day

Apart from the start, a nice route but with spaced bolting post crux when you are getting pumped

Pretty easy up the start but needs rebolting urgently. Second bolt sticks out and third moves. Bolt plates also hard to fit, had to put on from underneath and twist each

Rpt, quick last climb before heading back to work.

Hand crack is nice, put in new anchor sling and maillot above route. Thunderstorm coming

Pretty dirty after fires and floods but nice climbing

Definitely not the best 16 trad route in the mountains, but one of the easier for the grade. Would be a 12 in the Watagans.

Good climbing, but again dirt factor and rock quality a bit off putting. There’s a fresh sling around abseil tree

A couple of #3 s would have been handy. It’s own anchors too.

Another corner, slightly steeper than it appears

Quite nice, except for the traverse.

Hard start if you can’t reach the jug left of crack. Wasn’t too dirty or slimy at all. A bit discontinuous, lots of good rests. Dave did it with a double rack. Had some issue removing #3s

Ha ha, sent dave up this without consulting guide. He felt it was run out.

Led both 1 and 2 together. Rap off maillons, 38 m to ground. Found 0.4 cams better than 0.5 on P2.

Tried to lead, starting crack great, wobbled across traverse, got to third bolt and it is desperate to clip esp when dirty. Took a sideways fall of about 3 m, sprained ankle, cursed carrots, and stupid bolt placement, dave led with some jiggery pokery, managed to second clean ( with more excitement and ankle pain). First pitch only, that was enough!

Alt leads with Dave, in 3 pitches. Rap off tree to top of first pitch, then rap to ground

Quite fun, stupid bold bolting, especially when dirty and all the feet roll on grit. Otherwise reminiscent of peroxide blonde, but steeper at the start. Delicate good moves. Fun to top rope.

Most people will find this sandy and chossy and they would be right, but it was a fun fight, and in the shade.

Better than it looked

Hard boulder start, stuffed it once, then did it without rack which I pulled up once in alcove. Nice and a bit easier from there

The crux is tough, at least as hard as the routes to the right. Couldn’t see the plant the climb is named after

Ok wide hands at top ( for me)

Some nice thoughtful moves and an easy roof to finish

Hard rattle fingers. First attempt thwarted by pain/ ferns and ineptitude but got to top placing gear, a bit unclear how to get through the blank overlap in the middle. Did second go after taping index finger both hands and trying harder

She who hesitates.... oh well, clean second pitch 1,2 combined. Found the lower chimney more tricky. Got 5 good bits of gear on P 3 and then dithered thinking I should put in more when I had my feet in a good position to hit the victory finger lock. Then had 5 goes failing to get back to that position, dave went up and put in another cam, with a sit, then we both led it clean.Giles 25 to the left looks awesome.

I probably did get hauled up this in 2002, I certainly wouldn’t have jammed.
