I can see why it’s classic, but it was without a doubt one of the least enjoyable climbs I’ve ever tried. Conditions on the slab were pretty disgusting, the rest of the route just wasn’t fun.

Not clean. Great to have something new to do (all on gear) when you've done everything else here, but it is really contrived (and kinda hard to decide what exactly is "off route"). Regardless, it has some rad, powerful moves. With my busted wrist, there was a single move I couldn't do today, but otherwise it seemed "achievable"... maybe.

Onsight attempt got me to the crux. 2nd attempt worked out the crux, 3rd attempt got through it all and ran out of gas staring at the anchors. Another "next time" to add to the list. The view North is bloody amazing and it was no where near as exposed as I was expecting. Felt very relaxed

Was a battle. Got spooked early on with a hardish move. Really not that bad. Just commit to going out left next time! Also there is a double knee-bar rest on this climb, which is super cool for a pure trad route haha. Arjan also found a single knee-bar further down, remember to look for that next time. Finger crux is hard! It looks like there was a fin that snapped off (probably some blown pro), so I wonder how much harder it is now?

Good to try a 20 that is not in my style. My first attempts were spent working out my footwork (it is really bad on steep terrain). Utilizing heel hooks made the clipping process smooth and I am happy with my progress today. Hoping for a cheeky red point tomorrow.

Two move climb. Jugs -> crux -> jugs. Dyno to left hand gaston with help from left heel hook, readjust left hand to the right end of gaston hold, then bump left hand to the jug further left. Be sure to power scream. Had to bail cause of a thunderstorm. Will send tomorrow.

Pulling on jugs seemed like a good idea in the humidity, and it was. Fun route. Moves under the cave all turn out to be feasible. Got to the big jug out of the cave, great move, but could not keep the feet on to release the left hand.

After climbing it well on our last day out I expected it to go reasonably quick today despite the 83% humidity!! It was all OK until the anchors. I just can't reach them or figure out how to do so On the final attempt I used a panic draw to at least allow me to clean safely.
