Ascents in World as boulder by Peter Jeavons

Stoked to put this one together, just the harder variant left.

2nd ascent? Not 11 like Damo thought, definitely 12 imo, especially compared to other 12 FAs he’s put up in the same style. Heartbreak last move.

Climbs like it’s named, delicious movement, but a bit soft if you’re on the tall side and use a better sequence than the fa. Probs the best climb in the crag tbh

Classic blunder assuming Dave didn’t sandbag me. Soft 8 if Deep Impact is 6, no chance it’s 5/6 with a dyno off a mono to a blind left hand. About as hard as (maybe harder than) Midwife Crisis. Absolute 5 star line though, movement is quality

Hard V12 for me, could be V13, more experience at the grade required. Psyched!!! Update: solid 12, about 2 grades harder than Anger Management and The Long Weakender, but they’re on the low end of v11

Not V8, Byron was tripping. Worked it with Mattias, and we both agreed with double digits. Might be 10. Feels about a grade or two harder than the last third of Persistence, and the headwall is very droppable. Psyched! Update: V10 seems right Update 2.0: both Mattias and Roman reckon hard for 10, and feels harder than Anger Management and The Long Weakender Update 3.0: consensus is 10, grading is tricky

Only a touch harder than Aquarius, both V7 imo

I don’t normally comment on grades, but a 2nd ascent probably demands some comment. Felt hard, but climbs much better than expected. 9 attempts all up to send including figuring out the small amount of beta required. Its difficulty is really determined by one’s willingness to deglove their right hand on the pockets. Deserves all the stars. I am in love with lowballs with high grades

I don’t typically comment on climbs, but as the 2nd ascensionist, probs should. Didn’t top out, got to the end of the crux, and decided in my pumped state that the risk of falling off the V0/V1 topout without pads onto the concrete path without a spot wasn’t worth it, especially given the chossy rock. If that upsets you, then maybe you can spot me next time, but I think the climb is better ending on the jug, pr perhaps the rail above it, before entering the sketchy scoop. On the climb itself: it’s cool, and probably nails to campus, but I managed to find some feet. Obviously suited my style much more that way, especially with my height, but what I thought would be a quick ascent wasn’t, as getting to the jug before the topout proved difficult even with feet. Some front lever power required for the far feet. Might not be V11 (if you’re tall), but still hard and good fun.
