Lower yourself into the pit of despair. Filthy, and dark, bring your headlamp. Emerge back to the harsh daylight, battered and sweaty.. if you like suffering this one is for you. 17 seems a bit of a sandbag..

Setup a top rope to run laps on the lower layback section - tough on the forearms, but good fun.

Bit dirty, as generally trad lines at KP would be!

Small hands causes you to chimney until the crack gives way to lovely hand sized jambing. After that, it widens to an awkward finish.

Lovely endurance piece at the grade. Felt like a committing hand jamb just above the tree, but good pro.

Bit of gardening required. And a big dirty snake skin in the crack. Lovely section for like 2m slightly large hand size..

Moves go pretty easy when you ignore that block above your head. The possum added to the flavour of the day

Shitty belay ledge with lots of loose choss, won't be coming back to one any time soon.

Got the flash on second, stoked, would be a bold lead on some small gear part way through..

Classic! Was saving this one for the OS, got it and super stoked.

Small and fiddley gear, went to sit on a dragonfly, it pulled and so did the 2 nuts below this.. Decked from 6m up. Not ideal. Be very careful with pro on this one, not a super hard face climb but shit pro.

Was a 16-17 in the book? Sandbagged indeed.

Hard move in the crux indeed, not helped by a No. 3 cam stuck where you would normally hand jam...

The top is spicy for a 14!

Absolute classic! Has everything you could want.

Jamb fest!

Messed up the 'crux' body thrutch move, foot slipped and sat on gear. Decided to avoid the body thrutch and lay backed that section instead >.>

Not so great nut placement before the crux move, maybe bring the dragonflys next time

FFA. One nut placement in a filthy crack, then a no. 0.3 cam in a finger crack for protection. Slightly awkward mantle to finish.

Up the grade 17 start, didn't have the right size cam for the finger crack but got up it anyway. Nice and sustained, easy at the top.

Pre placed gear for a pink point, didn't use the crack for jamming though...
