Ascents in Central Tablelands having Beta

Wave wall cold as hell in the winter, lesson learnt

Rpt. Smeary feet are a bit rude at the third bolt (which I couldn't clip until it was at my knees, lol)

No chalk, but I managed to glue-sight this one. Stiff, but not half bad questing.

2nd pitch is truly a route for Goblins and Hobbits. People of normal height will find desperation in spades. A flaring, slightly overhung diagonal crack/chimney which offers some good foot jams for the left foot but little for your right foot which flounders uselessly out on the smooth face.

3 x Early-morning TRS laps clean for training. Very cool, IMHO.

Subjectively, the start for me probably makes this route 26, but I suspect more compact climbers might find this not too bad, as there are plenty of options (making this not a "reachy" climb) but it is awkward and bunchy at my height.

Clean repeat on Will Vidler 's gear. Felt good to get this clean at the end of a big weekend, and had to give it some power-screams to succeed. So much steep fun.

The shots for the day. Another session or two should see it go clean. One of the blue mountains great finger crack lines. Will be back for more laps.

Foot slipped and took a small fall.

Maybe I haven't been on slab for a while, but it all felt hard today.

Flash placing all the gear. Maybe my best ever first go effort. Very good rock climb!

Fairly close to the 2nd go dream, if only I'd spent a little more time working the final crux move. Glad to punt it twice, giving me a reason to come back and try again!

Higher red points, work out better few moves, but not that confident to get the send soon

All but one move solved! The climbing is not normal for the Bluies calls for some skills!

Conditions were so good today, worked the beta on second shot and had it very close on third, but rushed the last move leaving the crux and fell. Forth go didn't go well as the daylight was nearly gone. Will have to come back for this one, but it goes

Too powered out, too much high stepping, the sun was just at the wrong angle and casting shadows on footholds, I'm scared of trad gear, didn't eat enough lasagne. Epic

Fell whilst latching the jug on the onsight! Had a foot slip and was off down low 2nd go. What an epic climb, and crag! First time at the county - amazing

Really liked this one!

First pitch definitely felt sustained and crimpy in cold wind! I would say reachy too. I had to zigzag a bit to find holds. Second pitch less consistent in difficulty but some fun moves as well

What a great route, Intersting crux with cool balancy moves. Hard start to the second pitch then easing after a few moves.

Absolutely hyper classic. Mixture of jamming, face holds, a mantle finish and even some grovelling in a chimney. Happy as to get it done after having to dog it so many times.

Super delicate and engaging.
