warmup. still a classic but the 21 start is dicier than I remember - used a panic draw to reach the third bolt.

Did the hard bits, I think, but not being able to reach the 4th carrot from the good stance was the last straw for me friable nerves. Really fun style… but different.

yoyo style with Dick as I still don't vibe with the bolt spacing but at least could do the last bit and clip the anchors for the team. need to come back and send before I forget everything again.

6a A0 version for me, usual couldn’t pull the start with backpack. Very traddy, lot of crack and chimney climbing. Possibly you can use gear to reduce the runouts - we took a set of nuts but I left them with Cedric on the pitch I found most scary - 5? Second 6a pitch I think. Pitch 2/3? (2 5c chimney pitches) easy to link, last two also just inside 60m. 2 or 3 pitches were sunny or sunny belays but otherwise shade.

excellent crux with long moves between crack slots, bit polished, bit stiff, great

great crag for bringing beginners. the easy climbs are short but very consistent at the grade because of the flat wall, so you get your money's worth

not too bad once you gently push some plants aside so you can see the holds. maybe not climbed much? nice and shady. very bluies style bouldery start

Extremely traversing, have to second. very spicy at the grade down low with the polish in the big holes, and slight runout to the anchor

I think this is what we did when trying to do la voie de trous but some firefighters were on the anchor. Pretty hard, I couldn't work out a good solution for the crux, just pulling on monos

what's this, I like limestone now? Super fun holes and pockets. only the last hold is unsettlingly polished

Great climb... P1 a bit rough with a pack. Possibly could haul it for that one pitch. P2 seemed stiff to us, maybe not used to the water groove slab style yet, but it was definitely much steeper and less featured than any of the water groove pitches further up. After those two we linked everything so 6 pitches total, skipping some bolts on easier sections to make do with 12 runners. Only climbers on the wall until the afternoon, probably thanks to the cable car being down, which was nice.

This area was nice, shady, short, with cracks and rock features

Personally I didn’t enjoy it because I didn’t have sport shoes and it was very sunny, but it seems good normally with the cave feature and a bit of chimneying

Really fun, we don't have such interesting easy climbs at home

Linked P1 & 2 (with 12 draws including some extenders for ~20 bolts, but the 5 parts are generously bolted). Top crux was pretty hard, at least if too short to keep your feet on to the right.

Some days you are the sender, and some days you are the pack mule. P2 was not a great seconding experience when close to my limit and such a long pitch. Got probably irrationally worried about a ledge the rope was running over halfway up and unwilling to fall on it, so did a lot of resting onto bolts and fiddling around until I was sure I could climb without falling. P1 is fun if you don't look back, and prepare some more-than-20 footwork for the start. I'd like to lead P2, but maybe with a walky talky so I can ask 'have you got me?' before every hard move as usual 🤣

I think this to the SOIS anchors is what I did to warm up... for me it's the easiest way up the wall but maybe that's just having done the start boulder enough times that it's easier than batmanning lol

I retract my previous tick, trying to do this properly was hard. Not that I actually fell off anything, it just feels desperate if you can't slab climb good

Linked pitches 2&3, which was a bad idea because both ends are hanging belays on the painful rock, and 5&6.

Was expecting the crux to be gr19 face climbing not 19 crack climbing which is a taller order for me! Tried to offwidth it, fell out, then spotted a crucial face foothold. Still required one fist jam move! The other pitches were better than expected, with cool bottomless corners and generally quite consistently exposed.

Slow to get down with a 60m as we couldn’t link any raps. The top out is definitely worth it, 360 views!

Had a lil moment of going the wrong way on pitch 2, otherwise no falls. Nice 3 hours from car with Bubbles but decided it was too humid to do anything else.

Had 2 goes at the crux on the first pitch but liked it. Our bolt plates didn’t fit two of the carrots on the second but Will pressed on. On the 4th pitch Will got totally lost and did part of the Darkside traverse before finishing up Bionic Booger Boys? Maybe? So... another attempt needed!

Awesome day! There is plenty of style to improve as I "came to rest at a lower level" a few times. That third pitch corner/arete business had me baffled (and the pack was making balancing hard). Later it was just tiredness. Would like to do it again and rap in with someone else so we didn't have to carry the damn rope. 8 hours car to car, the sun was on the headwall from about 1:30pm today.

Cleaning.

Ended up pulling on the second draw, just not getting anywhere with those crimps.

Got to do last pitch which was great, but not clean, gonna say I was rushing after our third climber got a bit freaked out on the overhang and decided to stay behind.

I don't even remember.

It's actually a nice climb at the grade if it just had one more bolt.

Led third pitch, not cleanly, but fun.

nick started up the third pitch but was making a hash of it. Turns out climbing in winter is cold, guys. Rest of climb was good.
