Ascents in Queensland as various tick types

Don't let the chossy start deter you, it has a bit of everything in it. Happy to get past the first crux at overhang yet got perplexed at the next crux. Took quite a few goes to work out the very bouldery sequence gatekeeping the vertical finish. Fantastic adventure, felt harder than 24.

Awesome route! Has a bit of everything. Excited to come back and try again.

I made good progress today, but I would like a spotter before committing to the final crux moves, which put me in some compromised positions.

Wet and spoogy. Clipping second last was a bit sketch but just had to commit. Chains clip was also a bit engaging but she’ll go.

Pumped out an took a sit at the last draw. Though the incoming rain cut my daydreaming short and I had to scurry up to the anchor.

Yikes.

Lovely solo sesh, first dedicated session on this and I have it all in overlapping sections, excluding the top which I wasn't game to try with my old mats and no spotter. Hit the first move first try today too, feeling strong!

Found a snakeskin at the base, face intact and all! Found another one a little further up. And then another! You'd have thought that would be an indication of what was to come but anyway. I got the wide #4 section, placed my 4 and the my fist in above it. Got my feet up and looked into the crack to see what I could only presume was the owner of one of those skins staring at me and my delicious looking hand. I freaked out, jumped off the wall and proceeded to get the fuck out of there. Walked up the top of the cliff to rappel and get my gear back. Took about 10 minutes of amping myself up to throw my hand in the crack and grab this cam, only for me to get it 2/3rds of the way out before freaking out and not doing the job properly. Cure another 10 minutes of fear before committing to taking the cam out.

If I've learned anything, it's that my life isn't worth the onsight, but it is worth ~$130. What does that make an onsight?

Reasonably close. Time to train and revisit. Sick to see Zac put it together reasonably quickly

Fun line, fun movement. Came off on the Gaston before the side pull jug. Even falling 1/3 of the way up this thing feels scary, probably because I’m thinking about the top.

This thing felt like more of a concept to me than an actual climbable sequence. Pretty inspiring, keen to try again in a year or two

The very high starting gastons aren'too bad, but fighting the barn door is what makes it hard. Shoulder was feeling too tweaky to continue with attempts.

What a route, chossy chimney with sketchy desperation up the off width… huge balls to whoever leads this!
